The Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS) is a world-class research institute dedicated to improving skin health for all. Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine’s Skin Program has an important role in SRIS, focusing on inflammation and skin integrity and led by prominent scientists in the field. We are looking for a Senior/Research Fellow to work on advanced in vitro models of Asian aging skin. The role will focus on < the development of skin equivalents that mimic key aspects of aging in Asian skin types as faithfully as possible. The work is a key effort in a large Programme that aims to improve our understanding of Asian skin aging and develop interventions to support Asian skin health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test in vitro aging skin models in collaboration with other partners in the program
• Communicate and coordinate with other efforts (work packages) in the program
• Regular reporting of findings to program stakeholders
• Support programme manager in reporting and (financial) administration on the skin model work package
• Where necessary, support/supervise research assistants and (under)graduate students
• Participate in general lab upkeep and maintain the highest lab safety standards
• Active participation in scientific lab and institute events such as lab meetings and seminars

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in a biomedical (or related) research field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in general molecular biology, (advanced) mammalian cell culture, modern microscopy techniques and image analysis

Mandatory Skills

Building the OPS team, which will manage UAT environment in three dimensions:

• Governance of the environment life cycle and assurance of its reliability
• Environment will require regular data refresh (from PROD), batch runs, handling the inevitable infra/app-layer errors etc.
• Team’s goal is to orchestrate necessary activities among the parties (DBS teams) involved.
• Skills required: IT infra and application architecture acumen, allowing for effective discussions with SMEs and ability to plan and execute the necessary tasks.

• QA (HSSQE) & Vetting Head reports directly to Senior Manager (SM) or General Manager (GM) Fleet Operations.

• Reporting to the SM and CST Management periodically on the vessels’ vetting status, planning and progress including any on-going issues if in case of any difficulties encountered that may cause rejection by either Charterers or the Pool partners operating the respective vessels
• Leads the communication with major oil companies on a regular basis checking Company’s MR ratings and approvals.
• To maintain and update quarterly KPI on vetting and tracking of vessels’ performance versus set targets until the final Management Review on overall vetting performance.
• Keep the ship owners updated with fleet vetting plan and status periodically as required by the owners.
• Ensure vessel screening requirements from major oil companies (MOC) and charterers are attended on timely manner for vessel to be approved for business.
• To carry out pre-vetting exercise for the fleet and to attend SIRE inspections with the appointed inspector.
• To update and share with the fleet on SIRE findings to prevent recurrence.
• Manage all aspect of commercial operations to ensure safe delivery of cargo and services. Lead and provide suitable strategic direction in commercial operations to complement and support Charterer/Owner’s business objectives and strategy.

Authority
