PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

• Responsible for running and updating the vehicle inspection, servicing and MOT plans on the computerised fleet management system.

• Responsible for planning and controlling the engineering staff holidays and cover arrangements to ensure there are at all times sufficient levels of resource available on all shifts to meet the operational business requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring that adequate numbers of Engineering staff hold and maintain a valid vocational licence, planning for sufficient vocational licence holders to be on duty to provide adequate resource for workshop and on-the-road support throughout the traffic day.
• Develop the relationship between the stores and the workshop to promote cooperation. Arrange for the correct component parts to be available when scheduling vehicles for repair. Review stock levels to ensure they match demand without exceeding budgeted levels of stock holding.
• Monitor the performance of external contractors undertaking vehicle maintenance and repair to ensure quality of work and compliance with vehicle maintenance standards.
• Produce on a timely basis, engineering cost statements for use in third party insurance recoveries ensuring that all labour and material costs are accurately captured and documented.
• Consult with Trade Union Representatives with the objective of maintaining good industrial relations whilst exercising appropriate management leadership.
• Responsible for ensuring personal knowledge is maintained of all the relevant company policies and procedures and that they are adhered to at all times. Additionally, maintain a working knowledge of current legislation that is relevant to the engineering function.
• To provide cover for the Fleet Maintenance Manager, having available suitably trained support from an engineering supervisor to cover Workshop Planner duties.
• Contribute to the effective management of the engineering function on a day to day basis to develop and maintain good relations with the Operations Dept. who are ultimately the customer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise all engineering works, restricted activities civil, architectural, electrical and mechanical works carried out by the Contractors/SWCs etc
• Liaise with QP(s) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Overall project planning, scheduling, monitoring and updating to meet project completion targets
• Daily site activities planning, preparing work breakdown, daily site operations, site coordination, monitoring and report work progress.
• Attend all meetings with Stakeholders such as Authorities, Subcontractors, etc
• Prepare Monthly Progress Report
• Ensure site safety and compliance to Authorities' requirements

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Recognised by the PE Board
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in construction of civil and structures for LTA/MRT Projects
• Availability for Night Shifts: Candidates must be able to work during night shifts.
• Required Skill(s): Registered engineer
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent

• Understand and process requestors' requirements.
• Source and negotiate for equipment and supplies.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality standards, delivery, prices etc.
• Generate Purchase Orders promptly.
• Maintain good relationships and follow-up with suppliers closely.
• Provide administrative support to the office.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.

Job Responsibilities:

Accounting and financial reporting

• Leading a team of Finance staff in daily financial activities
• Monitor day-to-day accounting operations and review work completed by the Finance team.
• Prepare and report monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidated financial statements to parent company, as required to upload to the group consolidation system.
• Ensure all financial, accounting and analytical reports are prepared according to the management policies and accounting standards
• Manage project cost analytics and reporting
• Coordinate financial strategic planning, analysis, costing, taxation and budgeting activities
• Assist Finance Manager in overseeing month end and year end accounts closing, monthly cashflow forecasting and annual budget preparation.
• Assist Finance Manager in preparing the financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and involve in year end stock take activity

Audit, tax and banking matters

• Take ownership on internal and external audits, handle queries from internal and external auditors, tax agent, tax authorities, government authorities and etc
• Prepare detailed financial statements and audit-related documentations
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST reports, annual corporate income tax filing, withholding tax etc.
• Liaise with the Company secretary for corporate finance related matters
• Liaise with bankers for letter of credit, banker’s guarantee etc and respond to bank queries

Others

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager

Job Requirements:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• At least 5 years relevant working experience in Manufacturing industry, experience in manufacturing costing would be an advantage
• At least 3 years in supervisory role
• Proficient in Microsoft office programs
• Prior experience with Microsoft Business Central is advantageous
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership skill and high level of independence as well as the maturity and ability to work with staff at all levels.
