Academia is seeking passionate and dedicated Specialist Teachers and Curriculum Developers to join either our Primary-level or our Secondary-level English department. This is an opportunity for enthusiastic and experienced teachers who are eager to make a positive impact on the education of young learners. Specialist Teachers and Curriculum Developers will work with the team to develop comprehensive and structured instructional materials, teaching and learning plans, and assessments to evaluate student progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical and online lessons in a professional manner and manage students in a classroom setting
• Review student work and provide in-depth feedback and mark-ups
• Engage with both students and parents to provide advice and guidance, while building trust and rapport
• Provide curriculum feedback and develop engaging educational content as part of the curriculum team

Profile and background

• A high degree of proficiency with the English language is required.
• Teachers and tutors with several years of experience are invited to apply for this role.
• A strong interest in teaching as a long-term career is essential.
• Effective communication skills, to work as part of a team, and interact with parents and students.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners.
• Interest in current trends in English language education, and willingness to learn and implement new teaching strategies.
• Applicants must be able to work on at least one weekend, due to the nature of the tutoring industry. Applicants who are willing to work on both weekends will be considered favourably.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise and deliver the program in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy of MindChamps.
• Prepare and implement the programs and age-appropriate teaching aids.
• Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address the children's educational and developmental needs individually.

• Be familiarised with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals.

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T) / ACEY
