Job Scope:
Manage and direct all aspects of human resources for Allegion ASEANA, SOSS Asia and GSM China. This role will work with leaders to release the potential of our people, attract and retain diverse talent, shape our future organization, and create a DEI and high-performing culture. The role will enable the growth and performance of our business, delivering on our purpose and values.
The incumbent has the primary responsibility for labor relations, employee relations, recruiting, training, policy administration, performance management, conflict resolution, and employee/management consultation. These activities include developing, recommending and implementing goals/objectives, policies, procedures and courses of action to support the business and its employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Leadership - Partner with the Business leaders to shape and deliver an HR strategy that delivers business growth in support of the Allegion Strategy and HR priorities. Closely work with the International HR COEs to deliver against strategic HR priorities; Drive organizational transformation, talent development, employee engagement, and culture change initiatives that support Allegion’s growth and strategic goals in the region.
· Integration- Lead the integration of the Soss Asia into Allegion. Review the current HR policy, system and establish an HR management system, including C&B, HR Operations, training etc. to be in line with Allegion policy but with some flexibility to address SOSS Asia needs.
· Recruitment - Responsible for talent recruitment and management, including recruitment strategy, process design, candidate evaluation, salary negotiation.
· Employee Relations – recommend, develop, and implement employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship and support the overall effectiveness of the organization.
· Consultation and Facilitation – provide expert consulting to line management regarding human resource administration to facilitate overall organization performance.
· Diversity Plan - design and implementation of a diversity plan that delivers skills, knowledge and abilities for building truly diverse workforce. Encourage proactive approaches that encourage acceptance of differences, capitalizing on strengths of the team.
· Remuneration Policy Administration- Advise on competitive conditions and internal remuneration anomalies and prepare remuneration review information to enable business unit managers to conduct review effectively and efficiently.
· HR services - Delivering of HR services to ensure efficiency, quality, and employee satisfaction. Responsible for employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, termination, job change, leave management, etc. Responsible to review the processes and programs to ensure the continuous improvement and provides regular training and communication to employees.
· Payroll Support- Manages and contributes towards effective payroll support for the Business. Ensures compliance/audit requirements for payroll administration and other administration processes. Identifies areas for improvements and evaluates outsourcing possibilities in the payroll/benefits admin section. Contributes to the payroll vendor selection and evaluation exercises.
· HRIS Management - Work with Global team to optimize HRS related projects and processes based on local needs, set up or revise the SOPs, including HR internal process, self-service administration process, etc.
Job Specification:
Part A: Job Knowledge / Technical Skills / Qualifications
Must have:
§ 20+ years of HR experience with at least 8-10 years in a leadership role within a complex multinational organization.
§ Experience in providing end-to-end HR support and leadership across diverse functions (Commercial, Manufacturing, Support).
§ Solid track record of M&A transactions (in Singapore and outside of Singapore).
§ Experience in managing HR services and operations across multiple sites or regions, with knowledge of
local practices in Southeast Asia and North Asia countries (e.g. Singapore, China, Hongkong, South Korea
,etc)
§ Experience in navigating complex HR challenges, particularly in manufacturing and commercial business.
§ Proven track record of leading large-scale organizational change initiatives.
§ Experience dealing with international teams and managing requests from Global stakeholders.
§ Self-starter who is able to work with minimum guidance.
§ Proficiency in Mandarin and English (written, spoken, and reading) is required.
§ Proficient with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
