Quality Lab Support Coordinator

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for all or subset of the key responsibilities below:

• Receive, archive, retrieve and dispose retention sample, following standard work, approved procedures and regulatory requirements in timely manner.
• Maintain proper 5S and ensure inspection readiness of retention sample rooms.
• Perform assigned tasks within stipulated timeline and escalate discrepancies to Reporting Manager.
• Support laboratory supplies stock check, receiving, stock arrangement and disposal as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned by reporting manager.

Requirements:

• GCE O Level qualification and above
• Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Word & Excel
• The role will require the person to be able to move heavy boxes up to 15 KG during process like transfer of samples/stocks checking.
• Customer focus with strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset.
• Critical thinking mindset with a collaborative and problem-solving attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

• Support QM & PD Executive into monitoring and maintaining production operations in accordance to GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 requirements.
• Assist plant operations food safety and quality control for production, incoming inspection, and other QA/QC activities throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct routine QC checks in accordance with the documented HACCP Plan and Procedures.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Food Science and Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of QA/QC experience in food industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Keen to be hands-on in performing laboratory testing and product evaluation on the shop floor.

The role of the Senior Engineer – Lab & Technical Services includes:

Lab

• Analyse/Evaluate samples based on customer’s request. For example, it will be conducted by microscope, microtome, DSC, FT-IR, retort sterilizer and Oxtran.
• Conduct food storage test and coordinate lab tour/demonstration/seminar when outside company visits.
• Support the management of technical centre with Technical Service/Market Development manager such as budget management, maintenance and task allocation.
• Based on analysis/evaluation result, make report and promotion tools, reviewing result from other lab team members.
• Collaborate with outside company to get better results.

Technical Service/Market Development (TS&MD)

• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems and support new development at customers.
• Promote our new products that will meet customer needs.
• Explore new application and launch new development project
• Promote our products to whole value chain not only direct customers but also indirect customers such as brand owners, machine makers, raw material makers to enhance our market presence and create new projects.
• Investigate market trend such as brand owner’s direction, sustainable packaging design and potential market size.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or degree in chemical engineering/ food science related study background.
• Technical background including Food science and / or Chemistry.
• More than 5 years in food and/or food packaging industry.
