The National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory (NCL) is a shared national infrastructure that provides computing resources, repeatable and controllable experimentation environments, as well as application services for the cybersecurity R&D community. The infrastructure includes a cluster of 300 nodes that provides a wide range of provisioning mechanisms, security data and security services. NCL aims to provide a platform that fosters and encourages collaboration among researchers in academia, the industry as well as government bodies both locally and internationally through the sharing and validation of research outcomes. The laboratory was established in November 2015 and is funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF).

Job Description:

• Design and manage cloud-based computing system and network infrastructure
• Work on Security with AI, focusing on leveraging LLM for security applications
• Help to oversee our progress of our grants

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or relevant
• Interest and experienced in looking for expertises in cloud security, applied cryptography, adversarial machine learning, etc
• Enthusiasm for problem-solving and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively

Position Overview

We are looking for a QC Lab Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for the precise setup and loading of master data into gLIMS, in compliance with global guidelines and data principles. This role is vital to maintaining data integrity and developing local support frameworks for continuous data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute local master data setup and loading in accordance with global guidelines and data principles.
• Populate the global LIMS system with all required initial master data, including consumables, sampling plans, specifications, parameter lists, test methods, and LES templates.
• Perform local data cleansing to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data.
• Create local work instructions to outline the implementation of global processes at the site level.
• Potential opportunity to transition into a permanent position within the local LIMS Office, offering continuous master data support.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in data management and familiarity with master data setup and loading processes.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to develop clear and concise local work instructions.
• Knowledge of QC lab operations and related data requirements.
• Proficiency in using LIMS or similar data management system.

Job Description:

• Identify OOS, deviations and quality problems
• Report testing activities and results
• Comply with Quality and HSE procedures when carrying out sampling and QC tests
• Manage Laboratory Operations
• Follow the organization’s operational excellence model for laboratory work
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Report equipment OOS issues and equipment purchase requests
• Maintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of QC data and records
• Optimise quality and efficiency of department workflows and activities
• Assist in preparing and participate for laboratory inspections and audits
• Compile data to support business and performance metrics reporting
• Propose solutions to improve QC procedures, activities and workflows
• Gather information to support feasibility assessments of introducing new QC procedures, systems and equipment

Job Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Science
• Has prior 6months to 1 year of experience in HPLC / GC
• Training will be provided
