What’s the Role?
As a Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with the Plant Electrical staff on the scheduling to send and receive motors from vendor, the assurance team with managing quality issues, and the vendors to manage the costs, quality and reports of repaired motors either on site or off site.
You also be responsible for the followings:
- Assist in activities done in the E&I Workshop with the support of the Rotating Equipment support team and Mechanical Workshop Engineer.
- Co-ordinate inter-disciplinary works carried out in the central workshops as well as in Singapore-based workshops.
- Supervise and appraise work undertaken by Singapore-based workshops. To implement QA/QC for workshop services.
- Keep abreast with the development and to adopt best practices technical solutions for repair of motors.
- Manage efficiently the spare parts for the repair of motors in the workshop and adequately equipped.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment in the Electrical workshop are well maintained and calibrated. Ensure preventive & corrective maintenance activities are carried out as per schedule.
- Assist in the promotion of HSSE and overall service performance of the contracted Singapore-based workshops.
- Document and record equipment history handled by the Electrical Workshop with the aid of relevant system e.g., GSAP.
- Compile Monthly Reliability KPI for motors handled by the workshop.
- Provide necessary support to Plant Engineers in the areas of motor servicing.
- Comply to HSE standard and requirement including subordinates and 3rd parties responsible for.
- Carry out any other related duties as required.
What You Must Have:
- Diploma or ITC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar capacity and preferably with a registered EMA Technician license.
- Knowledge of GSAP system.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Singapore without work/employment visa sponsorship requirement.
- Good communication skills and able to work as a team.
- Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and balancing multiple priorities.
