Duties & Responsibilities

• The Senior QS shall play a key role in the preparation of tender documents and quantities, providing cost estimates, evaluating tender proposals, conducting project feasibility studies and managing cost information for assigned project
• He/she will need to monitor and verify all tender documents, drawings/details and corrigendum based on the document control process
• Reviewing, preparing and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, variations and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Project Procurement and Purchasing
• Project Progress Claims, Variations and Final Accounts
• General contracts administration, including payment, claims and Variation Orders
• Negotiation with subcontractors/suppliers, based on good knowledge of market rates
• Provide evaluation/findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on regular basis

Job Requirements

• At least 15 years working experience in QS Department in the construction industry
• Very well verse in processes & requirements of construction industry projects
• Should possess a minimum qualification of recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction/Building
• Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is necessary as incumbent will constantly communicate and collaborate with counterparts in Japan Head Office including filing of work progress reports
• Possession of strong organisational, reporting and analytical skills
• Capable of translating technical business reports from English to Japanese and vice versa

Responsibilities

• To assist Radio Surveyor, carry out VDR/SVDR annual performance tests and statutory safety radio survey on board ships.
• Update international convention regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements.
• Maintain survey checklists issued by classification bodies.
• Identify nature of survey and monitor daily statutory survey activities.
• Prepare survey report and submit to relevant classification authority.
• Record any non-conformities of equipment in the survey report.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
• To obtain General Operators Certificate (GOC).

Compliance

• With company and Classification Bodies/Authorities Code of Conduct
• Conduct statutory survey in accordance with international safety of life at sea (SOLAS) convention, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) code, High-Speed Craft (HSC) code and the Merchant Shipping Acts.

Requirements

• Technical knowledge in GMDSS & VDR/SVDR system.

[What the role is]

MANAGER (APPLICATION AND NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE)

[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the project team spearheading the design, development and management of the network infrastructure projects/systems, and to strengthen in-house network infrastructure and security capabilities and retain strong domain knowledge to support new system implementation and future system enhancement. Some activities include network planning, design and setup requirements for centralized Network Access Control (NAC), Patch Management infrastructure and wireless LAN infrastructure to support the segregation of OT systems from WOG network. Managing projects’ tender matters. Involve in the technical review of the design of all various sysems to drive standardization and system interoperability with no compromise in system security. To establish architectural standards, reference models and guidelines for security, resiliency, and efficiency.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:
• Degree in IT, Computing or related discipline;
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in project management and
development;
• Strong project management and people management skills;
• Good knowledge of various network protocols and topologies, including LAN,
WAN, switches, routers, servers, IDS/IPS, firewalls;
• Experience in networking and IT security;
• Possess drive and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a
strong sense of responsibility, initiative and resourcefulness as well as keen
interest in problem solving; and
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written, verbal communication,
presentation and negotiation skills.
