• Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the overall commercial management of how the bank engages and spends money with its external third-party suppliers. The SCM Global Technology Team is looking for a candidate with strong Leadership experience in Technology Procurement and the gravitas to engage and influence senior Stakeholders within Technology & Operations (T&O).
• The successful candidate will lead a team of experienced technology sourcing professionals and be responsible for influencing and driving sourcing decisions in collaboration with senior Functions T&O stakeholders and related CIO/COO leadership teams.
• Leads and manages the SCM Functions Technology Services team with responsibility for managing approximately $150m of annual supplier spend across Functions.

Our client is an established and blue-chip PE/investment firm. It is based in town. It invests in private equity funds, with a focus on the development and innovation of new investment platforms and products to make private equity (“PE”) accessible to a broader group of investors. For this role, you work in a fintech platform entity that is owned 100% by this renowned investment firm. Prior fintech exposure is required

Reporting to the CEO of the fintech platform firm and the Head of Finance and Ops at the investment firm (parent co), you will perform a hands-on finance and ops role as follows.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseas the finance, fund and cash operations for the management company and investment holding entities
• Finance duties include but not limited to:
  • Maintain accurate financial records for the organization
  • Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and ensure that they comply with accounting principles
  • Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and ensure timely processing, recording, and payment of invoices
  • Prepare management reports and analysis for management decision making
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare, submit and complying with MAS regulations for the licensed entity
  • Coordinate and facilitate external audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with financial regulations
• Fund & Cash Operations duties include but not limited to:
  • Oversee the operation management of the funds/accounts and the related monitoring and coordinating
  • Collaborate closely with the investment team, investor relation team, fund administrator, custodians, and external partners to provide timely operational support for daily issues
  • Evaluate service quality and contracts of external service providers to improve fund operations and protect company interests.
  • Provide inputs over accounting and tax structuring for onboarding of new investments
• Work closely and coordinate with all business units and external parties, including fund administrators, banks, auditors and tax agent, to support the regular reporting deliverables and deadlines
• Participate and provide inputs in new workflow, system implementation, and project coordination
• Initiate efficiency improvements to control enhancements
• Participate in other work processes and ad-hoc tasks where required

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance/ACCA/CA Equivalent with 10-12 years of experience
• Experience working in a fintech environment is highly preferred. That said, strong cands with PE/investment exposure (without fintech industry exposure) will be considered
• Strong in setting up processes/polices /systems/controls in a fintech firm
• Good understanding of SFRS(I) and private equity funds investment
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to cover both the finance and funds/cash ops aspects (per the jd above)
• Ability to dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insight
• Meticulous and able to work independently with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Keen learner with positive attitude, motivated, flexibility to work in a small office environment
• Aptitude in standard computer software (including PowerPoint, Excel and Words)
• Oracle experience a nice-to-have but not a must
