Responsibilities

· Manages Key Access Control

· Maintain the Log Book for contractors working in the hotel in accordance with company’s health and safety policies

· Operates, checks and performs security surveillance on the CCTV system

· Patrol the hotel building, premises and perimeter on a daily basis ensuring safety, and send reports.

· Member of the CERT team to provide assistance during the triggering of a fire alarm

· Regulate traffic control at the driveway

· Monitor suspicious packages and be aware of bomb and terror threat procedures

· Investigate and report all allegations of theft, criminal damage and other incidents

· Maintain the Security Log Book and send Incident Reports

· Manage undesirable behaviour in a professional manner, intervening and defusing potential altercations

· Handle Loss and Found items

· Liaise with Police in the absence of Security Supervisor

· Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty

· Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations

· Any other duties assigned by the Security Supervisor.

Requirements

· 6 days’ work week.

· Possesses valid Security License issued by PLRD/SIRD.

· At least 1 year of experience in a similar capacity in the Hospitality industry.

· Positive attitude and able to take responsibility.

· Able to communicate clearly and work in a team.

· Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

· Computer literate

1. Perform non-routine security monitoring activities
2. Perform prioritization and allocation of security incidents
3. Track security monitoring rules and alerts
4. Compile regular reports on the performance of security operations

• Maintain security operations

1. Assist with the implementation of agreed security system changes and maintenance routines
2. Assist with implementation of new security programs
3. Support vulnerability, penetration testing and assessments
4. Support the development of reports on security penetration testing results
5. Recommend security products, services and/or procedures
6. Support the alignment of security systems with established service agreement standards
7. Support the implementation of new enterprise security architecture, technologies and enhancements

• Respond to queries

1. Support live response to security issues
2. Support investigation of security breaches such as forensic threat investigation
3. Support the resolution of security related issues
4. Support the simulation of user problems to identify security system drawbacks
5. Recommend security system modifications to reduce user problems

• Facilitate compliance

1. Assist with the implementation security policies, procedures and programs
2. Educate users on the security standards and practices
3. Identify improvement areas to existing security policies and procedures
4. Deliver user training

• Optimize security system performance

1. Support piloting of new tools, technologies, and processes as well as installation of hardware and software
2. Support security system testing and ongoing optimization or changes such as scheduled upgrades and updates
3. Maintain documentation of all optimization activities
4. Suggest improvements to operational processes, procedure manuals, and documentation

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent fields
• At least 5 years working experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and risk assessment experience, and able to articulate security policies
• Coordinate ongoing reviews of existing security programs/protocols and planned upgrades
• Monitor compliance to security policies, regulations, rules and norms
• Perform Firewall rule reviews/clean-upsas part of housekeeping initiatives
• Reviewing authorized software
• Responding to security incidents
• Experience in AD/ID administration as per best security practices.
• Look at ongoing requests – assessments of installing apps.
• Exposure in IM8 or equivalent

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and deployment of security personnel to the allocated sites
• Plan duty roster for allocated sites, work closely and coordinate with each site for manpower forecasting, and planning for Relief Security Officers when necessary
• Provide support for Operations Managers and Site in-charges, and assist in handling complaints or operational issues. Willing to stand-in as Security personnel if needed
• Conduct on-job-training (OJT) and duties as required by clients for new hires and existing staff
• Coordinate with management team and clients' management to ensure customer satisfaction
• Carry out investigation and prepare reports
• Conduct rounds and checks at sites to ensure performance standards and compliance of staff, and obtain feedback from clients via weekly meetings
• Attend weekly meetings and propose service improvements to clients, and prepare periodic reports to the management
• Maintain and update proper documents, at sites and in office
• Any other duties related to the operations of the sites

Qualification & Experience

• Preferably certified with Diploma in Security Management or, minimally possess Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision
• At least 2 years of experience holding higher or equivalent position in the same trade
• Valid PLRD license, SS and above preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be Operational Ready at all times (even on off days)
