Summary of the Position

We are seeking at least one Postdoctoral Associate to join the "Mens, Manus and Machina—How AI Empowers People, Institutions and Cities in Singapore (M3S)" interdisciplinary group.

The M3S project is driven by the goal of investigating the nature of work, redefining our relationship with technology, and exploring how institutions can adapt to foster livability, sustainability, innovation, and social welfare.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that aim to develop state-of-the-art AI to create future smart cities. The Postdoctoral Associate is in the program level for the five-year M3S program in SMART. The SMART team seeks to advance the frontier of AI research, apply it to society and cities, and demonstrate the concrete social impacts of the AI algorithms with broad public acceptance in Singapore.

Specifically, the SMART-Program team seeks to develop ethical, accountable, and transparent AI for broad public acceptance and adoption in Singapore. The SMART-Program team will collaborate closely with the seven projects across the M3S program. It absorbs core AI technology from the projects and then enhances AI ethics with algorithmic approaches. It will develop surveys to analyze the public acceptance regarding AI technology and designs methods to enhance public acceptance/adoption for AI. The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual with a passion for cyber security to represent Avaloq’s security controls to customers, and ensure that Avaloq is meeting all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements around protection of data.

The role requires a strong background and understanding of all cyber security domains and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

In this position, you will be part of the global cyber security operations team and represent Avaloq’s security controls to our customers in Asia, coordinate and respond to customer audits, as well as support our security teams in Singapore, Manila, and Pune.

Your key tasks

• Represent Avaloq’s security organization in meetings with Customer CISOs and security teams
• Coordinate customer audits, validate and respond to findings, and ensure and issues are tracked through remediation
• Identify cyber security gaps in existing and proposed projects, services, and processes
• Participate in global security projects
• Support local security teams in Singapore, Pune, and Manila with strategic and tactical guidance
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of security solutions, or enhancements to existing cyber security solutions, to improve overall enterprise security

Qualifications

What are we looking for:

• 5-7 years working experience in a senior information or cyber security role
• Experience communicating with C-Level customers and clients
• Experienced with vendor management
• Deep knowledge and experience in all information security domains
• Solid knowledge about Cloud
• Working experience in Threat Intelligence Management
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)

It is a plus if you have:

• Information and Cyber Security certificates like CISSP, SANS or similar
• Working experience with AWS or Oracle Cloud

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) in data gathering, managing, monitoring and analysis for the projects from construction, Commissioning and operation.
• Creative content development, includes designing of proposals HSSE communications. Creation of templates to facilitate the teams in their submission of data and HSSE information.
• Support in the development of HSSE management system procedures, and communications of system updates and procedures.
• Interface with entities HSSE professionals & provide support and improve HSSE performance, data analysis developing lessons learnt communications.
• Plan and organize HSSE related activities or events to promote and educate staff on good safety culture and good work practices.
• Support Develop in house training material/video, organise and maintain records.
• Prepare or review publication materials for clear HSE matters communication with Engie staff and contractor partners workforce.
• Website and Analytics. Maintain corporate HSSE Quality website’s content for the region while ensuring that all contents are accurate and up to date.
• Develop the HSE Communications by working through HSSE teams with research and presentation activities as and when required.
• Analyse industry HSE trends to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
• Conduct EHS inspection when necessary.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Occupational Safety/Health or equivalent
• At least 2 years relevant working experience, preferably in construction and/or manufacturing industry
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Creative thinker with good design sense, strong visualization skills and good portfolio in multimedia design.
• Proficient in Adobe Cloud and other multimedia design tools, MS Office, particularly advanced levels in Word and PowerPoint
• Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator qualified Adv Workplace Safety and Health Certificate is an advantage
• Obtained other WSH qualification like Work At height Manager, Confined Space Assessor, WSH Risk Management qualification is an advantage
