The Product Engineer (Cyber Security) is the technical expert supporting the sales and prospecting lifecycle from pre-sales, deployment to post-sale support. The product engineer will be part of a small team trialling, evaluating and incubating new products and services for the cybersecurity services business unit, and will be intimately involved in understanding new cyber security products, understand the technical architecture of the solution, work with clients to understand and to integrate the solution into clients’ environments, and supporting them in post-sales support. The product engineer should be curious and keen in learning about, and working on new cyber security products, and work on translating them into new service offerings.
The Product Engineer is knowledgeable and specialized on several aspects (technical, procedural, operational,) in at least one of the following domains: Cloud Operations and Security; Cloud Monitoring; Security & Risk Management.
The candidate is expected to setup, design and formulate the supporting documents and establish a framework of processes and procedures for the day-to-day operations of the role and the service offering, and conduct continuous improvement for the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and influence the customer business and technical requirements to ensure the products contribute to the overall solution for the customer’s cyber roadmap.
- Support the onboarding of the products and work closely with vendors and suppliers to onboard the products for the customer. (i.e Plan, transit, attend enablement from vendor, transfer product knowledge)
- Conduct staff enablement or training workshops for prospects
- Plan and conduct Proof of Concepts with prospects
- Plan and execute project timeline with various stakeholder to ensure project timeline are adhered to
- Work closely with vendors and customer to resolve technical or deployment issues to ensure successful deployment of the product into customer IT environment
- Work closely with customer for support on day 2 operations (including reports generations)
- Support exhibitions/tradeshows to showcase the product/solution
Job Requirements:
- Articulate and presentable
- Familiar with Windows OS and Unix OS variants
- Experience in the use, deployment, and configuration of CSPs cloud native security tools, especially for AWS and Azure, will be advantageous
- At least five years working experience within IT Security, cloud and networking
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and models
- Possess basic skills in project management and keeping to tight project timeline
- Minimally 5 years of experience working on IT security tools
- IT security industry certifications are highly favourable
