• Works closely with Revenue department to be aware of the occupancy of the hotel (i.e. sold out dates, blackout dates and the need periods).
• Advises Raffles Service Manager of any deviations in rate applications or reservations arrangement.
• Maintains an accurate and updated filing system of all correspondence.
• Is familiar with hotel’s credit policies and handles billing instructions correctly.
• Performs clerical and administrative duties.
• Adheres to Raffles Hotel Singapore and Room Reservations department standard operating procedures, guidelines and grooming standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Willing to be on rotational standby after work hours/ work overtime to resolve urgent service issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Attend to all guests’ check-in by confirming reservations, assigning room, issuing and activating room key.

· Attend to guests’ check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.

· Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.

Responsibilities:

• Provide courteous and efficient service and if possible to comply with each and guests’ request. Ensure that all telephone calls are handled promptly within three rings.
• Be familiar with all room types and rates in the hotel and their availability status; up-sell whenever possible.
• Take ownership of problems, handle guest complaints promptly according to established procedures and then report to supervisor for further follow up when necessary. Glitch reports are to be written when necessary.
• Ensure guest room security, emergency and fire procedures; encourage the use of Safe Deposit boxes (El-Safe) and adhere to policies & procedures for their use.

Involve in one or more teams in supporting and upkeeping our Satellite Communication systems running smoothly through

• Troubleshooting works, of integrated systems consisting of electrical, mechanical and electronic subsystems in both indoor and outdoor environment

• Workshop bench test to troubleshoot faulty Radio Frequency and baseband equipment using common engineering tools and support test equipment

• Technical writing of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) of Radio Frequency and baseband equipment

• Technical writing of documents like work instructions and manuals

• Proficient in the use of support test equipment like multimeter, spectrum analyzer and power meter

• Proficient in operating simple tools
