Job Description:

Attend to all the maintenance & repair job required and ensure successful completion.

Perform preventive maintenance in all production machines.

Report and identify any defect or faults found during preventive maintenance.

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on stamping presses, feeders, conveyors, and other related equipment.

Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.

Develop and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.

Conduct periodic inspections and adjustments to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.

Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and blueprints to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.

Collaborate with engineering teams to implement effective solutions for recurring issues.

Ensure proper operation of safety devices, sensors, and automation systems.

Maintain detailed maintenance logs, repair records, and inventory of spare parts.

Report significant issues, root cause analyses, and resolutions to supervisors or engineering teams.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.

Conduct regular inspections to verify equipment meets safety and quality standards.

Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.

Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and techniques in the industry.

Any other duties as assigned by superior and/or management.

Requirements:

Minimum NTC 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Fitting.

Certification in maintenance and reliability (e.g., CMRP) is advantageous.

2–5 years of experience in maintenance within a stamping or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

Job Overview:

The Building Maintenance Handyman is responsible for performing various general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the building’s systems and infrastructure. The role includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the physical condition of the property, addressing maintenance issues as they arise, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure the safety and comfort of building occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance: Perform basic repairs and maintenance work for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and fix issues related to doors, windows, light fixtures, plumbing, heating/cooling systems, locks, and other building systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of building facilities, equipment, and systems to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and legal requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize repairs to minimize disruptions to building operations and occupancy.
• Inventory & Supplies: Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies. Order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock.
• Collaboration: Work closely with building management and other maintenance staff to coordinate maintenance schedules, improve building systems, and address tenant concerns.
• Documentation: Keep records of maintenance work, repairs performed, and parts used for tracking purposes. Provide regular reports to management on building status and repairs.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance worker or handyman in a commercial or residential building environment.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to handle a wide range of general maintenance tasks.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working with various tools and equipment.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with building management, tenants, and contractors.
• Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus but not required.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in case of emergencies.

• Work in various weather conditions, including outdoor tasks during.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights.

Work Environment:

• The position requires working in a variety of environments, including commercial, residential, or industrial buildings.

Reporting to the Technical Officer and Senior Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of the school premise. This includes maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, ventilation works and other building systems.

Responsibilities:

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure consistency with health and safety standards.
• Check work orders via the ticketing system daily and take on assigned work activities accordingly. This includes setting up and tearing down of events location.
• Ensure scheduled inspections, maintenance and repair work are conducted regularly and properly recorded. This includes the buildings (e.g. landscaping, painting, carpentry, pest control etc), equipments, electrical systems (e.g. replacing light bulbs/sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels etc), alarm systems (e.g. fire and protection), plumbing systems and manual repairs (e.g. fixing of locks, replacing of windows etc).
• Maintain the air conditioning and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Ensure emergency repairs are attended to promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain the inventory (e.g. tools and materials) in a tidy and appropriate manner.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Senior Maintenance Supervisor and/or Technical Officer.

Requirements:

• Nitec in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in maintenance
• Good knowledge in general maintenance processes and methods
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Able to carry load of up to 25kg.
