We are looking for a Bar Manager. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high quality standards, creativity, brand promise and profitability for the bar program while working closely with other leaders within the F&B Management, F&B Outlets, Catering, Wedding and Banqueting departments, Guest Care Services, Marketing and Finance divisions. The Bar Manager's areas of responsibilities includes the following but not limited to:
Operations Management
· Confirm preparation and presentation of all food and beverages are aligned to the quality and service standards as set out in the SOP
· Verify cleanliness and hygiene of bar and all equipment and assets are available and in good condition for each service period
· Acquire feedback from guests by active social interaction on quality and service levels to achieve total customer satisfaction. Resolve and grievances promptly
· Create productive schedules and rostering to ensure that the bar is well staffed through effective utilization of all resources
Financial Management
· Establish objectives and targets for the bar. Implement systems to maximise sales and revenue where necessary
· Certify accurate cashier closing procedures and that the mandatory corresponding paperwork is complete
· Ensure adherence to stock control procedures. Perform regularly scheduled inventories in support of finance and accounting systems
Business Development
· Support the Marketing and Communications team in development and implementation of promotional activities and events at the venue
· Develop and update menus collaboratively with the Food and Beverage team in line with the latest industry trends to provide an unsurpassed experience for our guests
· Interact with media & guests to promote the hotel & the business unit when & where required
Human Capital Management and Development
· Committed to learning. This includes self-study, research and exploration of the local bar culture and knowing the places to go
· Maintain constant staff interaction and communication by delegating duties and tasks to staff to meet goals and profitability
· Conduct weekly training sessions in accordance to staff’s development and training needs
· Responds to constructive feedback from others by showing improvement in performance
· Leads by example through passionate, hands on approach
· Displays and maintains a professional and pleasant image at all times
· Maintains professional confidentiality at all times
· Demonstrates a good working relationship with other departments with a high level of communication and cooperation in the interests of service and improvement in the working conditions of the hotel and department
External
· Ensures that the hotel complies with all Alcohol & Food Hygiene related Laws and Regulations of Singapore and its relevant authorities
Job Requirements:
· At least 3 years’ experience in Hotel bars of similar capacity, preferably in Singapore and/or a 50 Best Bar
· Minimum Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism Management or equivalent
· Certification in WSET Level 2 or 3 in Wines and/or Spirits will be advantageous
· Knowledge of beverages, products including the recipe, history, latest trends and pairing techniques
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
· Highly responsible & reliable leader
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment
· Ability to lead/coach a team and work cohesively with team members and stakeholders
