· Experience in turn-key development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale, multi-platform, multi-vendor systems in the IT and engineering domain

· Large-scale program management of multi-service line teams, including strong project management and communications skills, service delivery, client relations, planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial management, resource management, quality assurance and situational negotiations

· Proven track record in managing multi-million dollar projects in the government and/or commercial sectors

· Proven record of successful staff management in the area of leadership, staff motivation, performance appraisal, professional development and recruitment

· “Hands-on” attitude

· Good presentation skills, communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation

· Knowledge of Voice switching system will be a plus

· Professional project management certification (e.g.. PMP, ITIL, etc.) is preferred

· Preferably with Class 3 driving license

· Working location is in Ang Mo Kio

What you will be doing

• To carry out a daily routine inspection of all mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment/building structure/plumbing and sanitary items and report any defects, breakdowns, etc;
• Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions;
• To repair and replace defective items as reported in the checklist or feedback by members/staff;
• To carry out building maintenance works such as painting, joinery, masonry repairs, fabrication works etc;
• To assist in replacing electrical items and fixtures and carry out troubleshooting of electrical faults and running electrical wiring and water service pipe installation as and when required;
• Ensure compliance with building and fire safety regulations;
• Follow established maintenance strategies and club policies for a safe environment;
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations;
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding maintenance status and issues;
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.

What we are looking for

• Preferably with 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in facilities & building maintenance;
• Must possess at least a National Trade Certificate II / III (NTC 2 or NTC 3) / Nitec / Higher Nitec in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g wire, voltmeter etc) and drawings and blueprints;
• Preferably to have a hospitality background;
• Proactive, independent, work with minimal supervision and perform well under pressure;
• A team player and the ability to work during weekends and on public holidays;
• Able to perform rotating shift duties on a 6-day work week (No midnight shift).
