Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Site Supervisor to oversee and manage the trial trenching works/utility identification works and its associated works at our construction site. This role will ensure that trench excavation activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. . Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess a certificate in Pavement Construction and Maintenance awarded by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day trial trench works on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
Coordinate and manage on-site workers, ensuring proper allocation of resources for excavation, trenching, and backfilling activities including reinstatement as per requirements.
Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and site safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with utility and environmental regulations.
Maintain clear communication with the project manager/project coordinator and other stakeholders about site progress and any issues encountered.
Keep detailed records of all activities, including daily progress reports, safety checks, and any modifications to the initial plan.
Conduct pre-commencement and post-work inspections to ensure all trenching is completed in accordance with specifications.
Manage the use of equipment and materials, ensuring they are properly maintained.
Monitor and enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines during all phases of the trial trench work.
Provide feedback and reports on work progress, delays, and challenges.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, with a focus on trial trenching/ utility diversion works, civil works, or similar projects.
In-depth knowledge of trenching techniques, construction practices, and health and safety standards.
Experience in managing teams and coordinating multiple trades.
,Must posses Certificate in Pavement Construction and Maintenance awarded by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
Good communication skills to liaise with client representatives, project managers, and workers.
Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges on-site.
Education and Experience:
A construction-related qualification or degree is preferred (e.g., Degree in Civil Engineering).
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, specifically related to trenching works and pavement construction.
Working Conditions:
