WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Cost Engineer, this role will work closely with ACE managers and directors in optimizing the cost models in Nike, creating SAM/SMV database, managing the product cost analysis from manufacturing perspective, and driving cost improvement with best practice sharing. She/He will closely collaborate with both Nike internal and external stakeholders including factory partners to understand, collect and analyze the cost-related information, and then align the standard and processes.

Core Responsibilities include:

• Product Cost Engineering Analysis

1. Assist the Director/IE (Industrial Engineer) managers to design and enhance the product cost review tools (e.g. Product Standard Minutes - SAM/SMV database, Cost Matrices & Calculators) for quick and accurate product cost assessment.
2. Analyze the product cost based on style constructions, factory cost structure and other related cost factors e.g. Manufacturing efficiency during product development.
3. Liaise with Factory Partners (mostly their costing or IE teams) in case of critical gap (e.g. in SAM/SMV or other related production process) vs their quotation. Support the product development to resolve the costing challenges from product perspective.

• Update Nike cost model

1. Collect, review and analyze manufacturing information from factories or market research (machines, workflow, output/efficiency…) for setting the reasonable and sustainable cost models.

• Improve factory cost performance

1. Collect and analyze production data. Report the factory performance through scoring Manufacturing Index or other measurements.

• Involve in the project or maintenance services related with General Security Systems, Alarms
Systems, CCTV Systems , Access control systems and Server & Network infrastructure and whenever required.
• Perform Installation, Implementation, Configuration and testing of system/storage equipment & setup
• Troubleshoot problems encountered on site
• Perform OS hardening, patching and updating on servers/VM
• Develop implementation plan, migration plan and acceptance test plan for the project.
• Conduct acceptance test with users and address the testing findings/issues
• Work closely with Project/Maintenance Managers in planning the implementation tasks
• Maintain accurate and consistent set of work instructions service delivery processes.
• Develop As-built documentation for handover

Job Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/Nitec, Diploma,
Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Information
Technology ) or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Operational Technology/Information Technology industry
• Knowledge of networking and IP/TCP protocol
• In-depth knowledge in CCTV, Access Control and System Server etc.
• Hands-on experience in security-related tasks such as OS tightening, patching and updating,
virus scanning will be an added advantage.
• IT Certification in windows system & storage, network, database, virtualization, cloud

Key Responsibilities

• Support data engineering tasks, including implementing and maintaining data pipelines and resolving pipeline issues.
• Manage and maintain the data platform by performing regular software version upgrades across all environments, ensuring comprehensive testing and detailed documentation.
• Address daily operational requirements such as configuring applications, managing user access requests, resolving functional queries, and troubleshooting issues.
• Oversee platform maintenance, including application administration, system connectivity, interface integration, and model deployment.
• Conduct periodic reviews of source code and configurations to ensure code quality and verify that sensitive information, such as secrets, is not hardcoded or embedded in source code or configuration files.
• Perform regular patching of Azure Cloud Servers.
• Develop business processes by collaborating with stakeholders to understand use cases for building data pipelines, conducting data modeling, completing data collection forms, documenting use cases, defining data attributes across various data quality zones, and establishing naming conventions for datasets.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in this role.
• Expertise in architecting, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL, Bash, PowerShell, and Git commands.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and Oracle.
• Familiarity with CI tools and technologies, including JupyterHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure Databricks, RStudio, and PowerBI.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skilled in geospatial tools, such as Geopandas, PostGIS, and platforms like ArcGIS Enterprise/Server.
• Proficient in working with public cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS.
• Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a team and a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tasks proactively to meet deadlines.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
