Key Responsibilities

1. Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components.
2. Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair. Identifies and corrects errors.
3. Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.
4. Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components. Enters data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details. May perform computer programming, repair or software
5. Details finished work. Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform built, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects. Troubleshoots and improves processes.

Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job)

Supervises carpenters nand trades helpers in the construction, repair, restoration & installation of structural woodwork and related materials.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

(A) Specific :

• Supervises carpenters to ensure safety & quality in the performance of assigned tasks.
• Plan & develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules and procedures for equipment maintenance.
• Estimates material, tools, equipment, supplies & labor budgeting guidelines are met for carpentry expenditures.
• Maintains paperwork for the operation of the carpentry department inclusive of time sheets, purchase orders, work orders, material records and submit reports.
• Conform to an established work schedule.

(B) General :

• Trains or informs employee of new work methods, procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies & construction codes.
• Constructs custom cabinetry & furniture as needed, repairs or modifies furniture as needed.
• Reviews layout drawings, inspection of cabinetry & site installation cabinetry to ensure quality work, code and specifications compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

(C) Safety:

• Be aware of Occupational health and Safety Policy.
• Follow the Company safety procedures, rules and regulations.
• Eliminate or reduce hazard at the work place.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training :

• Core-trade on joinery works/Secondary School ertificates:- N’Level or O’Level.
• Job holder without the above qualification but with relevant experience would be considered.

(B) Knowledge & Skills :

• Knowledge of computer operation.
• Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices & techniques.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the carpentry trade.
• Knowledge of cabinet-making techniques.
• Skills in the construction, repair, restoration and installation of wood or related materials.
• Skill in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.
• Skill in supervising the work of others.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.

(C) Experience :

• 9 years of progressively responsible carpentry experience which include one year of supervisory experience.

Requirements

• Possess Diploma or equivalent level of certification in any engineering disciplines
• Problem solving skills
• Experience in negotiating with suppliers, sourcing new suppliers
• Experience in commodity strategy and management for pcba, cables, labels, and OEM.
• Experience in New Product Introduction
• Quote analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop preferred suppliers for cost, capacity, quality and response to RFQ
• Drive cost reduction for respective commodities through supply base consolidation and negotiation
• Create and drive contract with key suppliers
• Drive materials lead-time reduction to meet with Customers’ expectations
• Supplier ramp up plan and highlight any potential supply chain challenges in a timely manner
• Coordinate and communicate new project Engineering Change Order implementation effectively to avoid/minimize any E&O exposure
• Provide technical support/advice to buyers, suppliers as well as customers
• Follow up on new vendor set-up and supply price is set-up LN systems before order placement by buyer
• Cost, lead-time, MOQ & NRE analysis on suppliers’ quotation. Make supplier recommendation to quote team
• End-of-Life management
• New Supplier survey & auditSource and recommend suppliers for business need.
