Job Description

The Position holder is responsible for assessing, monitoring and continually improve the quality of parts, products and services delivered by suppliers, and assists in defining and developing quality program status indicators and performance measurements.

Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, proactive, enjoy solving problems, comfortable with multitasking, and work well in teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate in Sourcing activities for new part or new supplier, developing and implementing Part and Process Qualification process and in charge of supplier quality evaluation. Ensure First Article Qualification completion.
• ·Manage all aspects of continuous improvement of the quality of parts, products and services delivered by suppliers, including the following:
• Review and analyze supplier quality performance, deviations and returned product reports.
• Investigate and address product non-conformances, working with relevant subject matter experts as needed to ensure corrective and preventive actions address fundamental causes.
• Support development and execution of remedial work plans by suppliers to address quality nonconformances.
• Ensure improvement of the supplier quality engagement programs.
• Conduct supplier quality audit, including planning, execution, reporting results, and remedial work plans. Participate in internal audits.
• Ensure compliance to internal and external management systems.
• Lead and/or participate in Product Quality (PQ) incident report investigations.
• Acquire and analyse data across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements. Use metrics, reporting, and process control tools to track, analyse and problem solve.
• Continuously improve knowledge of customer expectations, supplier relations, risk management and improvement, industry standards, business systems, and planning and quality tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering).
• 3 years of industry working experience as quality engineer.
• Experience in quality tools, supplier quality management, and quality management.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified for Quality Engineering.
• Work experience with SAP system.
• Knowledge or work experience in industrial standard and directives such as DNV, ATEX, PED.
• Work experience in heavy machinery technology and manufacturing process.
• Data mining and analysis skills (with Excel, PowerBI, or SharePoint).

To assist in managing the manufacturing operations of the whole production department and be directly in charge of production purchasing and admin function

• To liaise with regulatory body regarding pharmaceutical compliance affair;
• To perform other activities required for the smooth operations, productivity and improvement of the department
• To be involved with projects, meetings required to fulfill the Company’s business objectives

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

This section provides the primary functions of the job.

Purchasing

• Supervising the purchasing activities in the timely sourcing/buying and confirmation of materials at competitive prices and periodic evaluation of vendors that meet the Company’s objectives, including negotiations with vendors on prices, terms and conditions

Manufacturing Operation and Production

• Responsible for managing the manufacturing operations of the whole production department
• Raise production ticket and ensure that the right quality of raw materials are released for production
• Responsible for production planning to meet demand forecast, customers’ orders and stocking policies; oversees and involved in the planning tasks, purchasing, dispensing, labels wording checks, entries into Navision system, etc
• Dispense raw materials before production according to required product specification
• Set up, develop, approve and implement for Production department standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and system in line with PICs, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices); monitor the compliance with the requirements.
• Review of production batch documents and other documents
• Involved with the investigation of production deviations during the manufacturing of the products
• Responsible for the monitoring and control of the manufacturing environment and plant hygiene.
• Involved in the designation and monitoring of storage conditions for materials and products
• To ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality
• Coordinate with the QA/QC department on the inspection, investigation, and taking of samples in order to monitor factors which may affect product quality.
• To ensure that production records are evaluated and signed by an authorized person before they are sent to the QC dept
• To check the maintenance of the production dept, premises and equipment
• To ensure that the appropriate validations are done

People Management

• Oversees and manage the performance of all production staff, purchasing, admin function and regulatory function in their daily performance of routine duties;
• To ensure the right skilled work force are deployed for the right type of jobs in the production area
• Ensure that all production and operational staff have the appropriate initial and routine training
• Look into ways to improve employees’ productivity

Inter-department coordination

• Work with the product development department to improve on products’ problems
• Work with engineering and maintenance department to solve issues pertaining to production’s equipment
• Work with QA/QC department on handling GMP compliances issues at the production areas as well as in answering to H S A

Others

• Other ad hoc projects and related activities delegated by superior

Secondary responsibilities

• Operate the Navision system in the required areas of responsibility
• Compute the direct cost for tender costs
• Meet up with suppliers with respect to the sourcing of new materials
• Other related activities required to support the department

• To use correct procedures to fill pure gas and gas mixtures.
• Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Familiarity with the filling panel, scales, vacuum pump, liquid pumps, compressors, painting and valving machines and cylinder drying oven.
• Completion of filling forms as required.
• Current license for forklift truck.
• Selection of the most appropriate technique for filling gas.
• Loading/offloading of trucks/containers as requested.
• Painting of cylinders to appropriate standards.
• Connection/disconnection and running of the cylinder drying ovens.
• QC check of final goods prior to despatch.

Job Requirements

• Min. NITEC in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Results oriented individual who is conscientious about quality & safety.
• Mechanical knowledge in plant equipment, pure and specialty gas will be a plus.

Job Summary:
The Production Lead Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production process of chemical products within the organization. This role requires a strong background in chemical engineering, production management, and quality control, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of chemical products while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the overall production process, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources to ensure timely and efficient production of chemical products.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all produced chemical products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives to maximize production output and minimize waste.

• Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, including standard operating procedures, production reports, and quality control records, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Monitor production costs and implement strategies to optimize production expenses while maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production engineering, and integrate relevant knowledge to enhance production processes and overall efficiency.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in production management within the chemical industry, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality control systems.
• Proven leadership experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Thorough knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to chemical production processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
