Job Description

• In charge of supervising the entire set-up and operation performance of the central kitchen.
• Monitoring of purchase and orders to manage cost flow including operation costs and kitchen overheads that do not exceed set par levels.
• Ensured that all employees followed food hygiene practices and safety standards.
• Improvise SOPs in Central Kitchens, shop outlets, and even delivery units to achieve the highest food standard, quality menus, and food products to the brand outlets.
• Will be involved in ingredients matching, fusion food new menu creations, assisting Chef as and when required.
• Coordinate Human Resources, including Part-Timers and cleaners to keep labour costs within budget while maintaining service standards and maximise productivity.
• Streamline service processes to boost productivity and efficiency in central kitchen and outside dining services.
• Will be required to work alongside or together with the Marketing Department to create a marketing campaign and menu item promotions.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Preferably possess Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Food & Beverage Service Management or related field
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in a managerial position in a Central Kitchen facility or related field
• Strong knowledge of Central Kitchen operations and practices, from set-up to daily operations, to maximize the productivity of the facility
• Excellent operational expertise in F&B industry and organizational skills
• Independent, self-driven, resourceful and reliable
• Excellent communication skills and planning
• Strong team player, and able to work with the team members to produce exceptional results

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise employees and manufacturing activities pertaining to the production of products and/or manufacturing processes in - and with manufacturing/technical knowledge of - 1 or more production areas, depending on the complexity of the areas
• Conduct performance reviews, including resolving performance issues
• Oversee the scheduling of work orders and team performance metrics
• Accountable to ensure staff is appropriately trained to perform assigned work
• Accountable for productivity, quality, and training metrics of staff, and provide regular progress reports and manufacturing metrics to management and cross-functional stakeholders
• Ensure appropriate staffing for all positions
• May participate in improvement projects, partner with engineering on investigations and/or corrective actions, perform non-conformance investigations for review with engineering, assures documentation content is valid

Education and Experience:

• Other: in Diploma, 5 years relevant experience
• with internship or substantial technical knowledge and experience in related manufacturing, and/or quality
• Experience working in multi-cultural teams with cultural sensitivity
• Experience working in a medical device industry Required

Additional Skills:

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably JDE
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives
• Full understanding of manufacturing procedures
• Ability to supervise/lead employees in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to analyze and identify potential line/operation layouts adjustments to improve efficiency
• Basic understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work

• Rotating swing shift (mix or AM & PM)

Job Duties:

• Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components.
• Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair. Identifies and corrects errors.
• Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components. Enters data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details. May perform computer programming, repair or software installs.
• Details finished work. Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform built, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects. Troubleshoots and improves processes and involved in test.

Requirements:

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Relevant experience would be advantageous
• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered

Job Description & Requirements

1. Formulate and provide directives for Production Department in meeting organization's goals and committed to Quality Management System.
