Job Description

• Perform daily production work, such as operating machines and performing upskill production, filling, printing, labeling, inbox, etc.
• Quality check of raw materials and finished goods as per quality plan to ensure raw materials and finished goods are within specifications.
• Record all daily activities and duties.
• Maintain good manufacturing practices all the time and ensure zero non-conformance products.
• Carry out continuous improvement projects to improve the efficiency of equipment and process and ad-hoc assignments.
• Make suggestions and take steps to improve production processes and efficiency as well as cost-saving measures.
• Perform and ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the working area.
• Adhered strictly to all Good Manufacturing Procedures, Safety, 5S, Quality, and all other policies/standards/ requirements at all times.
• Ensure compliance with uniform, grooming, verbiage, computer usage, productions, operations, and any other guidelines established by the Company from time to time.

We are seeking experienced and innovative individuals to conduct research on mass rearing and field deployment of male mosquitoes under Project Wolbachia – Singapore. The project focuses on implementing the use of Wolbachia technology as an integrated novel approach to suppress urban Aedes mosquito populations in Singapore. The candidate will be actively involved in multi-disciplinary R&D projects to augment our public health research and surveillance programmes in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Lead/co-lead in designing and executing experiments related to mosquito mass rearing, deployment and prototyping of novel equipment
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements
• Translate research to operations and policy
• Develop and review Work Instructions and risk assessments of the production and quality control processes
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and present at major scientific meetings

Requirements:

• Excellent team management and leadership abilities
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven skills in experimental design, data analysis and scientific writing
• Good physics knowledge, experience with robotics, 3D modelling or/and rapid prototyping will be an advantage
• Willing to work staggered hours or after office-hours, weekends and public holiday
