Production Supervisor
Our client is a manufacturer of camera optics company. They are currently seeking for Production Supervisor.
The role of the Production Supervisor includes:
- Manage Production operations.
- Manage manpower versus workload for different product line, including optimizing overtime when required.
- Manage fluctuation in workload.
- Manage daily efficiency through understanding of routing and station verses daily output requirement.
- Track material shortage status with Planner to manage workload effectively.
- Capacity planning for manpower and equipment to manage bottleneck.
- Manage and control key production indicators.
- On Time Delivery.
- First Pass Yield.
- Work Order Efficiency.
- Training and Flexibility Matrix.
- Leadership Focus Areas.
- Build a Harmonious Team: Foster open communication, manage conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
- Manage Pressure Effectively: Prioritize tasks, manage workload, and ensure loading balance.
- Lead with Discipline: Establish clear expectations, monitor performance, and address areas for improvement.

- Develop plan to build up production flexibility to support production variant switch.
- Monitor and review production lines quality standard and work with related Departments for support and corrective action Plans for quality improvement.
- Participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) and to make necessary recommendation to ease production flow.
- Improve & maintain quality standard through training, certification, and development of operators.
- On the job training.

- Daily involvement to understand operators’ behaviour.
- Manage and implement /monitor EC in production.
- Influence organisational development and strategy.
- Improve quality through training, certification and development of operators.

- Manage and implement/monitor EC in Production.
- Lead team’s work activities to develop operational plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Work with Process Engineering on through put time and yield improvement.
- Manage work order to ensure on time delivery and fulfilment of sales order requirements.
- Ensure no backlog on work orders.
- Work order prioritizing, delegation and management.
- Motivate, manage employees’ behaviour and instil core values, discipline and positive mindset.
- Support employees to develop their skills and facilitating learning opportunities and coaching team leaders in alignment to business needs.
Job Requirement:
- Preferably with 5 years working experience in a low volume, high mix manufacturing of Measurement or processing Equipment , with 3 years in a Supervisory position
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering/ Manufacturing Management/ Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- Experience in driving operational excellence through lean manufacturing techniques
- Experience in SAP or related ERP system
- Experience in Project Management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels including management and staff personnel both internally and externally.
