Duties of Welding Process Engineer:

• Design and create welding procedures, specifications, and jig fixtures.
• Perform TIG welding and have knowledge of orbital welding (preferred).
• Introduce and implement advanced welding technologies and techniques.
• Estimate costs, resources, and timelines for welding projects.
• Train welding personnel on techniques and safety protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive records of welding procedures, inspections, and certifications.
• Develop and uphold Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure smooth production processes.
2. Assist in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, collaborating with engineers and other team members to implement improvements and innovations.
3. Conduct routine inspections and tests on manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements.
4. Participate in the validation and qualification of manufacturing processes and equipment, documenting procedures and results according to regulatory guidelines.
5. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and waste reduction, and implementing corrective actions.
6. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices , Standard Operating Procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to resolve issues and achieve production goals.
8. Provide training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure effective implementation and adherence to standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical certification in engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a regulated industry is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of Good manufacturing practices regulations, and industry best practices for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Help with New Production Introduction tasks: develop manufacturing processes, design tools, create schedules, control costs, support sourcing, qualify quality, support tests, reduce product costs, and introduce products into the supply chain.
• Lead technical aspects of manufacturing processes for cables, harnesses, mechanical assemblies, inspections, and testing, including designing tools and fixtures.
• Utilise knowledge of electrical/electronic equipment production and testing methods.
• Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines to successfully complete and make projects profitable.
• Collect data and create manufacturing solutions and documents to support OMS, SOE, MI, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform assembly tasks and guide technicians/operators as needed.
