Job Description
The Position holder is responsible for assessing, monitoring and continually improve the quality of parts, products and services delivered by suppliers, and assists in defining and developing quality program status indicators and performance measurements.
Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, proactive, enjoy solving problems, comfortable with multitasking, and work well in teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in Sourcing activities for new part or new supplier, developing and implementing Part and Process Qualification process and in charge of supplier quality evaluation. Ensure First Article Qualification completion.
- ·Manage all aspects of continuous improvement of the quality of parts, products and services delivered by suppliers, including the following:
- Review and analyze supplier quality performance, deviations and returned product reports.
- Investigate and address product non-conformances, working with relevant subject matter experts as needed to ensure corrective and preventive actions address fundamental causes.
- Support development and execution of remedial work plans by suppliers to address quality nonconformances.
- Ensure improvement of the supplier quality engagement programs.
- Conduct supplier quality audit, including planning, execution, reporting results, and remedial work plans. Participate in internal audits.
- Ensure compliance to internal and external management systems.
- Lead and/or participate in Product Quality (PQ) incident report investigations.
- Acquire and analyse data across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements. Use metrics, reporting, and process control tools to track, analyse and problem solve.
- Continuously improve knowledge of customer expectations, supplier relations, risk management and improvement, industry standards, business systems, and planning and quality tools.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering).
- 3 years of industry working experience as quality engineer.
- Experience in quality tools, supplier quality management, and quality management.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified for Quality Engineering.
- Work experience with SAP system.
- Knowledge or work experience in industrial standard and directives such as DNV, ATEX, PED.
- Work experience in heavy machinery technology and manufacturing process.
- Data mining and analysis skills (with Excel, PowerBI, or SharePoint).
