Objectives of the position:

The NPI / Production Process Engineer is required to collaborate with the Program Management Team

and be involved in New Product Introduction activities and the creation of manufacturing Work

Instructions as well as other process documents. The incumbent is also expected to improve the work

processes actively and continuously to achieve high productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

 Early involvement in NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.

 Interpret technical information (documents, drawings, and data) and analyse the manufacturing

process elements.

 Create Bill of Materials structure.

 Create manufacturing Work Instructions and other process documents in collaboration with the

Program Management, Production and Quality Assurance Teams.

 Carry out time studies and update the process cycle times.

process risks and make recommendations to mitigate these risks.

Skills & Qualification:

 Minimum Diploma in any Engineering field such as Electrical, Mechanical/Mechatronics,

Manufacturing/Production or industrial Engineering

 Min. 3 years of manufacturing process engineering experience, preferably dealing with wire or cable

harness. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Asst. Engineer position

 Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

 Basic manufacturing knowledge in cable harness assemblies, plastics and sheet metal preferred

 Experienced in the creation Bill of Materials structures

Job Description

• Plan and raise production order according to manufacturing process and lead times in SAP and MES.
• Ensure components/raw materials are in place for all production plans.
• Follow-up closely on daily production outputs and work with Production/Eng/QA for recovery, if any.
• Follow up closure of Production orders in SAP.
• Ensure raw materials and components are in place for all orders committed to Sales.
• Follow up Customers delivery due and pre-empt recovery ahead.
• Liaise with Buyer on the raw material and components shortage.
• Monthly rolling capacity planning to review any bottleneck or excess for further actions.
• Optimization of all available machinery and equipment.
• Control excess FG/WIP during production planning (especially customers forecast).
• Control aging FG/WIP and follow up with Sales for disposition.
• Set target/actions to meet department KPIs.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of work experience preferably in manufacturing setting
• Proficient and competent in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Pivot Table and V-Lookup
• Committed, self-motivated, independent and able to work in a team
