A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to do:
- Market Analysis: conduct thorough market research to understand the target country's demographics, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior based on the Sales/ BD teams strategy
- Localization and Adaptation: tailor marketing messages, content, and creative elements to align with local preferences, language, and cultural sensitivities
- Channel Selection: identify and leverage effective marketing channels and platforms that are widely used and trusted within Singapore (online and offline)
- Execution: plan and execute local campaigns (both online and offline) to support the local Sales and BD team to reach their relevant customers & support the sales process
- Community work: build and maintain a relationship personally and as Teleport with our local customer community (largely B2B space) in the transport/ logistics/ air freight space
- Data-Driven Optimization: implement robust data analytics to measure campaign performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and make informed, data-driven decisions
- Compliance : ensure compliance with local marketing regulations and standards. Provide customer support in the local language and time zone
- Alignment: build a strong relationship with our central marketing team based in KL to leverage the strategic elements, brand guidelines and resources available to support you in your work
- Continuous Improvement: iterate and optimize strategies based on customer feedback, performance metrics, and evolving market dynamics. Stay agile and adaptive to maximize results over time
SKILLS
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role: (If any, otherwise you can skip)
- Proficiency in data analysis is crucial for assessing campaign performance, understanding consumer behavior, and making data-driven decisions
- A strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, search engine optimization (SEO), paid advertising, and email marketing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, especially if dealing with content creation, localization, and customer support
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is often beneficial. However, practical experience and skills are highly valued.
- An appreciation for cultural differences and the ability to adapt marketing strategies to align with local preferences and customs.
- Previous experience in adapting marketing materials for different regions, including language localization and cultural nuances.
