Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Logistics Executive:

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate shipments with transportation providers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics partners to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to secure timely deliveries and achieve operational KPIs.
• Provide regular status updates on domestic and international shipments to support internal teams and external customers.
• Collaborate with finance, business partners, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers for accurate shipment arrangements, documentation, cargo release, and final deliveries.
• Work closely with freight and ocean forwarders to schedule shipments, track status, and ensure timely delivery.
• Collect, analyze, and report logistics data; collaborate with stakeholders to improve metrics and KPIs for efficient logistics management.
• Conduct monthly analyses of shipping data and present findings to management for informed decision-making.
• Perform trend analysis to identify needed corrective actions and drive implementation of improvements based on findings.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing daily logistics operations.
• Manage the freight bidding process by preparing RFQs, analyzing bids from carriers/providers, negotiating rates, and selecting cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Lead logistics project activities through Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives to achieve organizational goals in collaboration with logistics project teams.
• Facilitate collaborative logistics activities by coordinating meetings among regional factories to promote information sharing, process improvement, and innovation.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement in logistics practices across factory locations in Asia while encouraging creativity.
• Ensure accuracy of product HS Codes and tariff descriptions by referencing Japan's HS codes; collaborate with Sales and Regional management for updates or changes.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements related to shipping practices.

Job Requirements:

• Min Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Min 2-3 years in logistics or supply chain, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
• Ability to analyze logistics data for informed decision-making.
• Experience in negotiating rates with carriers and service providers.
• Knowledge of DX/BPR/RPA Systems: Familiarity with these systems is advantageous.
• Understanding of Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of customs regulations, shipping laws, and compliance standards relevant to logistics.

Job Scope:

• Design, develop and manage study visits and training programmes for international delegates of the assigned countries/region
• Conduct research on regions, countries and institutions
• Network and build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and clients
• Involvement in administrative duties, project management and business development work
• This role is a mix of Learning & Development as well as International Relations as the officer will be required to plan programmes and liaise with international delegates from the SEA region. There will be a bit of travelling involved for programmes overseas.

Requirements:

* At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the field of Learning and Development preferred.

* Open to fresh grads, with relevant L&D/International Relations/Political Science work experience or qualifications.

* Relevant experience in L&D, IR, facilitation or programme planning. Being ACTA/ACLP certified would also be an added advantage.
