The E-Commerce and Marketing Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of the company’s e-commerce strategy in collaboration with the Managing Director. This role will involve managing relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, creating and executing an e-commerce roadmap, optimizing online sales channels, and aligning marketing initiatives with business goals. The ideal candidate will also manage all marketing, social media, and website activities, as well as collaborate with the company’s PR firm to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. E-Commerce Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute the company’s e-commerce strategy to achieve sales growth and brand visibility.
• Manage the relationship with 3PL providers, including inventory coordination, reverse logistics, and fulfillment performance.
• Monitor and analyze e-commerce KPIs, such as conversion rates, sales performance, and customer satisfaction, to ensure business objectives are met.
• Optimize product listings, including descriptions, images, pricing, and SEO, across marketplaces.
• Plan and manage promotional campaigns on online sales platforms (e.g., Amazon, WayFair, etc).
2. Marketing & Social Media Management
• Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital channels, including social media, email marketing, and paid ads.
• Manage and grow the company’s social media presence, including content creation, audience engagement, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with the PR firm to ensure consistency in branding and messaging.
• Monitor competitor marketing activities and trends to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.
3. Website Management
• Oversee the maintenance, functionality, and design of the company’s website to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
• Coordinate with web developers or agencies to implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and optimize website performance.
• Ensure website content aligns with marketing campaigns and product launches.
4. Collaboration with PR Firm
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the PR firm, providing strategic input on campaigns, press releases, and media outreach.
• Align PR activities with e-commerce and marketing initiatives to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
5. Reporting & Analytics
• Track and report on e-commerce and marketing performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Create regular reports for the Managing Director on sales, customer feedback, and campaign results.
Key Competencies:
E-Commerce Expertise
• Experience working with 3PL providers and managing marketplace operations.
• Strong understanding of online sales platforms and their algorithms.
• Knowledge of inventory management and fulfillment processes.
Digital Marketing Skills
• Proficiency in social media platforms, advertising tools (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads), and email marketing platforms.
• Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Website & UX Knowledge
• Familiarity with website management tools like Shopify, WordPress, or Magento.
• Experience optimizing websites for user experience, conversions, and mobile responsiveness.
Project Management
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects across e-commerce, marketing, and PR.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Collaboration & Communication
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce, marketing, or a related role.
• Experience working with 3PLs and/or managing online marketplaces.
• Strong technical proficiency in digital marketing tools and website management platforms.
• Previous experience in PR or collaborating with PR firms is a plus.
