The Marketing and Communications Assistant at the International French School (Singapore)

is responsible for enhancing the school’s visibility and reputation through strategic

marketing and communication efforts. This role focuses on strengthening the school’s brand

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Brand Management:

○ Ensure consistent and cohesive representation of the IFS brand across all

communication channels.

○ Monitor the school’s brand image and make recommendations for

● Strategic Marketing Execution:

○ Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns aimed

at increasing student enrollment and retention.

● Content Creation & Updating:

○ Produce high-quality content for various platforms, including the website,

newsletters, brochures, and other promotional materials.

○ Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and create

stories highlighting the school’s achievements and events.

● Public Relations:

○ Act as the liaison between the school and the media, managing press

releases, media inquiries, and crises.

positive coverage.

● Digital Marketing:

○ Execute digital marketing strategies, including SEM (Search Engine

Marketing), SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), SMM (Social Media

Marketing), Content Marketing and Email Marketing to engage target

audiences and drive traffic to the school’s platforms.

○ Support the tracking and analysis of digital marketing metrics to optimise

performance and improve engagement.

● Internal Communications:

○ Support the facilitation of communication between staff, students, and

parents by creating internal newsletters, announcements, and updates.

○ Collaborate with various school departments to ensure accurate and timely

communication of school activities and policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience: At least two years of experience in marketing communications, preferably within the education sector or a similar environment.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns and access against goals (ROI and KPIs)
• Conduct post-campaign analysis, budget tracking, monthly reports for internal analysis, and day-to-day campaign monitoring
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure project success and create awareness for the mall's activities
• Form strategic alliances to source sponsorships, unique event opportunities, and public relations opportunities for the mall.
• Proactively plan and initiate joint collaborations with tenants, as well as garner participation for mall programmes and initiatives to drive sales.
• Keep track of expenses within the approved budget.
• Conduct post-promotional campaign or event reviews to determine the off promotions/events in terms of shopper traffic and tenant GTO, and prepare monthly reports for internal analysis.
• Manage the marketing of casual leasing in order to increase mall revenue and shoppers’ traffic.
• Manage social media platforms, content creation and integrate online activities with offline marketing promotions. Monitor social channel conversations and act on any insights that can further enhance the customer experience and branding of the mall.
• Maintain and update content on various digital and social media platforms.
• Maintain customer service initiatives and meet mall service standards.
• Actively participate in group campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferably in a shopping mall or retail environment.
• A high-energy, positive and good team player with excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• with minimum 1-3 years of experience preferably in a shopping mall, retail or ad agency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in launching creative marketing strategies to drive membership sign-ups and retain current members.
• Execute campaigns across digital and traditional channels, such as Instagram.

• Propose and execute content strategies to boost engagement and online presence.

• Content Creation and Management- Outline plans for the online media calendar to ensure marketing plans are executed on time
• Review all creating, updating, and ensuring proper site products and content for social media and listing
• Digital Marketing - Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and effectively plan next marketing activities to capture audiences

Job Descriptions:

This marketing internship with OWELL will allow you to write and create various health and wellness related marketing content that resonates with our customers, as well as to increase brand awareness and draw in new customers from traditional and new media platforms. You will work closely with the team and be involved in various marketing activities to create informative and engaging content, such as but not limited to copy writing, creating artwork, infographics and videos for various traditional and new media/digital platforms. You will also plan and manage editorial content, monitor and analyse KPI performances and suggest improvements.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for a team player who is able to work independently. Candidates are expected to have a strong command of both English and Mandarin (both written and spoken), knowledge in design software such as Microsoft Office/Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator, etc, and attention to detail with a keen eye for proofreading and editing.
