• Design the electrical system for process plant (water/wastewater treatment plant, incineration plant, etc.) and coordination with other disciplines for the design work
• Review project specifications, technical proposal/design documentations from the electrical subcontractor/supplier and liaise with project consultant / client for the approval of technical documentations/drawings.
• Support electrical system related procurement work, develop cost estimates for electrical products and electrical works, and prepare the schedule for electrical works.
• Project coordination, ensure project is on schedule and is running smoothly, including handling technical matters at site, managing electrical subcontractor/supplier and working on site with clients and other stakeholders.
• Supervise installation and testing and commissioning of electrical system.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in process plant electrical EPC work with Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline. For Diploma holder, minimum 6 years of experience is required. For senior position, candidate must have at least 8 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems including motion, temperature measurement, PID Loop, Safety Interlock circuits, etc.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC Power Distribution Systems including selection of circuit breakers, power supplies, contractors, cable sizing, etc.

What is the role?

Yinson GreenTech is looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join our marine division (“marinEV”). The primary focus of this role is on the engineering, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for battery electric vessels and charging stations. The successful candidate will work closely with ESS suppliers, perform hands-on fieldwork with high-voltage systems, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of power electronic equipment. This role requires extensive field experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and a commitment to maintain the highest standards of safety and performance uptime for marinEV vessels

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

System Maintenance & Support:

• ESS Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on Energy Storage Systems (ESS) installed on electric vessels, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• High-Voltage Systems: Work safely with high-voltage systems, following industry best practices and safety protocols.
• Power Electronics: Maintain and troubleshoot power electronic equipment, including inverters, converters, and battery management systems (BMS).
• Mechanical Handling: Handle mechanical components of ESS, including battery modules, cooling systems, and structural supports, ensuring proper installation and maintenance.
• Software Updates: Collaborate with software engineers to implement software updates, perform diagnostics, and resolve issues related to vessel control systems.

• Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with ESS suppliers to coordinate maintenance activities, obtain technical support, and ensure that all system components meet required specifications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure the seamless integration of ESS with vessel systems. Work closely with QHSE Manager to develop procedures for the safe handling of batteries during emergency incidents.

• Manage the project cost within allocated budget
• Maintain Change Order Log and proactively manage change in scope. Prepare RFI / VOR and get VO from customer before executing the scope change.
• Prepare Progress Claims timely and follow up for approval and maintain Progress Claim Summary report
• Escalate challenges / issues to the Project Manager & management to resolve it on time
• Collaborate with Customer, Consultant, Owner, Third Parties, Suppliers & internal team members for successful project execution
• Organize & coordinate for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of necessary equipment
• Perform pre-punch list walk thru with PM and Superintendent
• Clearing of punch list defects in collaboration with site team
• Prepare & provide training to customer for necessary equipment (as applicable)
• Responsible to collect all Handover & completion documents
• Manage & Comply with Workplace Safety & Health for project execution
• Organize necessary safety training for the project & site team members
