Duties & Responsibilities

Lead Engineer role independently for Mechanical scope such as:

• Perform all engineering design assignment (Core: Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Turbines, Machinery, Package Equipment. Option: Vessels, HVAC )
• Checker role for department rotating/package deliverables.
• Prepare specifications, data sheet, and inquiry documents.
• Perform all discipline engineering assignment and design work.
• Perform technical bid evaluation.
• Mechanical Handling and Movement Study.
• Coordinate with disciplines for layout.
• Review of vendor documentation and vendor management.
• Provide technical requirements and assessment for inspection and QC related matters.
• Participate in site surveys, HAZOPs, and various workshops.
• Participate in FATs, shop inspections and provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning stage.
• Handle interface matters and coordinate with relevant parties.
• He/she must be ready to work at construction site and be ready for working overseas upon request.
• Other work related requests from Department Manager/ Supervisor.

Competencies / Preferred Skills:

• Familiar with and have experience with pumps, compressors blowers, turbines and other industrial package.
• Possess ability to interpret client requirement, identify deviations and co-ordinate for resolutions. In addition, he/she demonstrates the ability to verify own product for error free output and draft technical resolutions for issues, communicate interface matters timely to various discipline.
• Experience to lead an amalgamated team of engineers working in different locations.
• Competent in English language and proficient in MS Office programs.
• Competent in planning and coordination with relevant parties both internal and external.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design for offshore oil & gas facilities such as FPSOs, platforms, etc
• Responsible for study, design, specifications, and services related to MV (11kV)/LV (690/400V) switchgear, MV VFDs, distribution systems, etc
• Have detailed design experience on FPSO/offshore facilities MV (11kV) and LV (690/400V) systems/ancillaries, including transformers, etc. Have handled electrical packages such as UPS, distribution boards, or supported mechanical packages by reviewing engineering documents. Have database engineering experience, developing load lists, cable schedules, control schematics, etc
• Able to perform technical bid evaluations for basic electrical packages. Able to utilize database engineering, i.e., SmartPlant/SPEL, to produce load lists, cable schedules, etc.
• Work with a team of specialized Electrical Engineers/Designers for the complete detailed design

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Possess at least 7 years of experience with electrical design involving offshore electrical power and distribution systems
• Familiarity with global electrical codes, standards, and regulations, i.e., IEC/BSI, etc
• Knowledge of electrical systems for assessment/compliance studies and reports
• Good understanding of electrical system design
• Able to work independently

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design for offshore oil and gas facilities
• Responsible for study, design, specifications, and services related to MV (11kV)/LV (690/400V) switchgear, power management systems, MV VFDs, distribution systems, etc
• Have detailed design/FEED experience on offshore MV (11kV) and LV (690/400V) systems/ancillaries, including power management systems and MV VFDs
• Experienced with power systems studies using ETAP, developing studies, philosophies, single line diagrams, specifications/data sheets, and performing technical bid evaluations for switchgear and VFDs, as well as reviewing vendor documents/data/drawings
• Work with a team of specialized Electrical Engineers/Designers for detailed engineering design
