We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic tech team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our rapidly evolving platform.

You will collaborate closely with our development, QA, and product teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system performance, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our services.

What will you do?

Infrastructure Development:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on AWS EC2.
• Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS for containerization and orchestration of microservices.

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Integrate QA tooling into CI/CD pipelines, including Cypress for E2E testing.

Configuration and Automation:

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for efficient resource provisioning.
• Manage configuration management using Ansible to automate system configurations and deployments.

Networking and Security:

• Configure and manage load balancers using Traefik to ensure optimal traffic distribution.
• Implement service mesh technologies like LinkerD to manage service-to-service communication securely.
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with industry best practices.

Monitoring and Logging:

• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Proactively identify and resolve system issues to maintain high availability and performance.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with development and QA teams to understand application requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Provide support for development and staging environments, facilitating efficient testing and deployment cycles.

Optimization and Cost Management:

• Analyze system performance metrics to optimize infrastructure for cost and efficiency.
• Implement strategies for resource optimization without compromising on performance.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
• Proven experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, RDS, and networking components.
• Strong expertise in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Past experience as a software developer is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Knowledge of load balancing with Traefik and service mesh implementations using LinkerD.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools, specifically Splunk.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with our tech stack is a plus: TypeScript, Go, ReactJS, ExpressJS,
• Gin-gonic, GraphQL with JWT authentication.

• Support IT Infrastructure and applications teams in Active Directory Domain Migration, including migration of profile, data and configuration
• Provisioning new Windows environment and associated software; ensure that all systems are patched, hardened and configured as per corporate policies and standards
• Monitor system performance and implement measures to optimise efficiency and reliability
• Convert physical workloads to virtual as part of systems consolidation
• Support users in migration/upgrade related issues. Respond to incoming technical support requests in a timely, courteous and professional manner
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective use of IT systems
• Ensure IT operations performed as per service and operational level (SLA/OLA) and comply with internal standards, policies and compliance requirement.
• Document technical processes and procedures to maintain knowledge base

Requirements

• Possess good technical knowledge and skills with more than 4 years of hands-on experience in the following:
• Windows Servers administration including Active Directory, Microsoft Office365, DNS/DHCP, File/Print
• VMware vSphere, vcenter
• User and application support
• Good to have knowledge in VMware vcenter convertor
• Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Job summary

Provisioning new Windows environment and associated software; ensure that all systems are patched, hardened and configured

Role & Responsibilities :

• Work closely with business (research analysts, quantitative strategist, end-users, etc.), data engineers, data scientists to implement and support data solutions that support common functions in the data lifecycle e.g. data onboarding, data distribution.
• Contribute, influence, and validate the design of lifecycle data solutions to ensure they meet both business and operational needs.
• Manage day-to-day operations for lifecycle data solutions such as collation of metadata, analysis of system operations data (e.g. data quality metrics, usage level of data distribution services).
• Perform data access control operations to ensure data ingested and distributed comply with enterprise data governance and data handling standards.
• Function as the Center of Excellence for the common data lifecycle services offered, defining standards and best practices, and designing process workflows to smoothen operationalization and to ensure compliance.
• Monitor, analyse, investigate, and resolve day-to-day operational incidents and provide advisory to users.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the assigned area of work.
• Manage and maintain strong stakeholder relationship to ensure continuous support and knowledge for existing and future data lifecycle needs.

Skillset Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in data management, data analytics, data engineering user. Preferably within investment and banking industry.
• Good understanding of the principles, key controls and processes relating to data management as well as data integration and data distribution.
• Good knowledge and experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL etc.
• Familiar with data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) and data virtualization technology such as Denodo is advantageous.
• Good at working with details and is meticulous for operations.
• Able to design and implement solution, and perform code review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skill to interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Agile, fast learner and able to adapt to changes.
• Good team player, with strong analytical skill and enjoy complex problem solving
• Experience in the Systems Development Life Cycle implementation methodology (SDLC) and/or Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
