· Field Testing. To carry out software testing on the system whenever there is a new software bug fixes. To ensure the correct configuration of the system is loaded for software / system testing and before the system is used for production.

To undertake store keeping functions in respect of receipt, issue and disposal. To carry out serviceability check on the spares and to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to rectify any fault on the spares. To monitor the end-of-life and end-of-support status of the spares and installed hardware.

· Preventive Maintenance (PM). To carry out PM on the hardware to retain the system in the specified operational condition in accordance to the planned maintenance schedule. In carrying out the PM, to follow the approved PM checklists to perform calibration, servicing and verification of system configurations. To submit the PM report after each PM.

· Calibration Services. To liaise with vendor to perform calibration services on the test equipment that are used for the preventive maintenance.

Job Description of Application Engineer:

• Assist the sales team in identifying optimal solutions during specification processes.
• Collaborate with the global engineering team to address product defects, issues, and technical inquiries.
• Evaluate and recommend engineering products to customers through selection, review, and proposal processes.
• Conduct on-site visits for technical troubleshooting and assessment purposes.
• Communicate effectively with customers to elucidate problems and present viable solutions.
• Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with customers to ensure their utmost satisfaction.

Requirement

• Diploma/ Degree in engineering field
• At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience in handling Marine accounts

The Opportunity

This headcount will play the part of a Data Engineer to build and design our Enterprise Data Platform for optimal data retrieval to facilitate the development of dashboards and other visualizations for our Senior Management and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• To design, build and test deployment & operation phases of Lodging’s Enterprise Data Platform for current and future projects.
• Review, construct or re-structure, test and maintain data architecture
• Review and establish best practices for data management, reporting and security
• Improve data foundational procedures, guidelines and standards
• Evaluate datasets and identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
• Comprehend, design, acquire and manage organizational datasets that support analytics to achieve business goals
• Optimize data retrieval to facilitate development of dashboards and other visualizations for stakeholders
• Coordinate with internal infrastructure teams to complete planned tasks and problem-solving where necessary
• Support data management projects when needed and perform additional data related tasks

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
• At least 3 years of data engineering or data application software engineering experience
• Experience in object-oriented design, coding and test patterns as well as experience in engineering software platforms and large-scale data infrastructure
• Hands-on working experience with big data systems (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark)
• Extensive knowledge in SQL, Scala and Python programming languages
• Experienced in Microsoft stack of analytics products (SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse, Integration Services, Data Quality, Master Data Services, Power BI, Fabric)
