The Deputy Director of Program Management and Impact will lead the development and implementation of key regional energy transition strategies, working closely with Tara's program directors and partners. This role involves managing a team of experienced program leads, providing guidance, and empowering them to deliver impactful results. Management of Program Leads

• Manage a team of passionate and experienced program leads, including, but not limited to, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Organisational Development, providing them with the right guidance and empowering them to do their best work.

• Develop a forward-looking approach to strategy, analyzing where the region will need to be in five years' time on energy transition and supporting program teams to develop strategies fit for meeting future challenges.
• Identify areas where a regional strategy is required to complement national strategies to accelerate the energy transition and lead the development and implementation of at least one regional thematic program area
• Contribute to an active international network of re-granters and strategists on the energy transition needs of the region.

Grant management

• Guidance and advice to partners and prospective partners in the field to ensure activities achieve their intended objectives and results.
• Monitor deliverables and submissions from partners and provide general oversight of their timeliness and quality.
• Advise the operations team on specific legal/operational/risk requirements for grantmaking in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
• Advise programme directors/senior management on any potential risks and recommend mitigation measures when needed.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of support and ownership for projects within Global Sales Management (GSM) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of key objectives.
• Assist the GSM Team Lead in developing data-driven insights for the GSM BCO and NVO teams.
• Evaluate and recommend value-added initiatives to align with Trade Management and Strategic Yield Management goals.

Requirements:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in the liner shipping or logistics industry.
• Proven track record in sales and business development.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple work streams and handling project management tasks.
• Background in front-line key account management and customer relationship management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Strong leadership abilities and collaborative skills.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and the liner shipping business is a plus.
