The Regional Medical Lead (RML) will be a cross-portfolio lead in the dedicated Region as per business needs. A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR IDL) is seeking a Laboratory Officer/ Technician (BSL-3 operations) to join us. The Laboratory Officer/ Technician will engage in day-to-day operations, housekeeping, maintenance of the high containment (BSL-3) and BSL-2 enhanced laboratories. This role will involve but is not limited to the following:

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform lab biohazard waste collection, sort, autoclave, and safe disposal.
• Liaise with biohazard waste contractor for scheduled disposal.
• Manage laboratory supplies, chemical and equipment inventory.
• Assist in coordination of the lab maintenance, calibration, repair of faulty and recertification of laboratory equipment.
