Reporting to Centre-IC, Medical Technologist (MT) is responsible for the daily operations and administration of laboratory to ensure compliance to regulations and accreditation standards. Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent

1) Assist the Security Manager in the daily security operation.

2) Provide Security Coverage for Special Functions and Daily Operations.

3) Surveillance of all hotel staff to ensure they abide by the Hotel’s House Rules.

4) Assist with investigations and reports for any cases.

5) Maintain and operate Carpark system.

6) Ensure accountability and tracking of all Lost & Found Properties.

7) Attend all Departmental meetings and in-house training sessions.

8) Prepare and maintain Daily Attendance Record.

9) Report to the relevant departments regarding defects or problem areas observed during daily patrol.

10) Inspect and ensure that all Fire Exit and locking device are in good working condition.

11) Assist the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).

12) Inspect and maintain all fire fighting equipment. Render first aid to injured persons as and when need arises. Maintain the First Aid box and ensure sufficient supplies.

13) Put up Daily Security Report.

14) Ensure that there is smooth flow of traffic at the carpark and ensure car do not park haphazardly.

15) Attend to minor breakdown calls at the carpark and to rectify minor defects at the carpark machines.

16) Assist in maintaining the guest room door locks and guest room safes

17) Monitoring of CCTVs.

18) Attend Fire Safety training and participate in Fire Drills.

19) To keep the Security Manager posted on all matters of interest involving the Hotel and the department.

20) Any other duties that may be required of him by the Security Manager from time to time.

Job Description:

RECRUITMENT

· Recruitment and selection. Drafting of the job advertisement, post on various platform, follow up to identify suitable candidates, conduct interviews, get Management approval.

· Handles all the foreign work pass application, renewals and cancellation for employees/candidates including medical examination arrangement.

HANDLE PRE-BOARDING, ON-BOARDING AND EXIT-CLEARANCE PROCESS

TRAINING

· Monitor and make registration for the employee who need to attend Basic/Refresher Food Safety Level 1 course.

· Identifying the training needs of the organization. Searching and conduct training course for employees for specific jobs.

MANPOWER PLANNING

· Monitor foreign worker quota closely.

· Computation the number of quota in advance.

· Analysis and find solution to maintain/increase number of quota.

INVENTORY

· Manage inventory of staff uniforms, shoes, medicine, facemask, etc.

PAYROLL

· Prepare, check and process payroll for submission to Finance Department ensuring that salary is paid timely and accurately.

STAFF WELFARE

· Carry out employee reimbursement. Check benefits claims against entitlements.

· Birthday welfare arrangement.

HR POLICY, SALARY & BENEFIT

· Study competitors of the organisation. Compare organisation's compensation and benefits programmes against industry practices.

· Review and work with Management on HR policies and procedures, employee rewards & benefits.

STAFF PERFORMANCE AND DISCIPLINARY MANAGEMENT

· Monitor closely on staff performance during employment. Support line managers in dealing with grievances and disciplinary issues.

PWM (PROGRESSIVE WAGE MODEL)

· To ensure the company pay the employee at least the minimum monthly wage for their respective levels to ensure compliance with the PWM.

MOM SURVEY

· Participate in MOM surveys and ad-hoc surveys.

GOVERNMENT GRANT / CLAIM

· Prepare applications for various relevant grants/claim offered by the government agencies. Eg. Childcare leave, foreign worker levy waives, SG United programmes, etc.

INSURANCES

· Handle insurance process including report and claim with related party (MOM & Insurance agency) when it is necessary.

· Renew Work Injury Compensation Insurance and Foreign Worker Medical Insurance timely. Review and compare quotations from different insurance agency upon renewal.

ADMINISTRATION WORK

· Process and prepare all types of employment-related letters including employment contracts, confirmation letters, termination letters, promotion letter, increment letters, warning letter, etc.

· Administer and update employees’ personnel database.

· Organized and maintain filling system (hard & soft copy)

· Any other task assigned by Management.

Job Requirement:

· Degree/Diploma in any disciplines and/or Professional Diploma in Human Resources Management/At-least 2 – 3 years of HR experience.

· Good working knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and local HR practices

· Good knowledge of Government legislations (MOM, CPF and IRAS)

· Effective interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with all levels

Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain accurate daily, weekly & monthly inventory movement records and reporting.
• Update the inventory and spare parts database and inform relevant department on stock status whenever required.
• Assist in the reconciliation of any stock discrepancies and rectify the discrepancies.
• Conduct monthly and yearly stock takes to ensure accurate inventory in the warehouse.

What you will do for us:

- Be the visible leader and go-to expert of the Company’s Compliance function for both internal and external stake-holders, including financial services regulators

- Maintain and ensure adherence to the Company’s Compliance Manual, including through delivery of associated Training and Effectiveness assessment

- Conduct periodic Business-wide and AML/CTF Risk Assessments, and recommend preventive and detective control actions to senior management

- Through participation in external stake-holder engagements, ensure the business is kept up to date on regulatory change requirements, including timely implementation of control requirements

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies

- Participate in continuing education requirements to keep valid necessary professional certifications

Requirements

- Degree qualified, with minimum 5 years of financial services compliance work experience in Singapore

- Solid technical understanding of financial regulations affecting AML/CFT, KYC, PEP, sanctions and aspects of general compliance

- Demonstrable experience in digital asset storage and transactions management is a must, including implementation of the FATF ‘travel rule’

- Experience in dealing directly with financial services regulators and/or regulatory aspects e.g. payment service act in Singapore

- Ability to engage internal stakeholders and advise and make recommendations on regulatory company policies

- Strong knowledge of MAS regulations; experience working with MAS would be an advantage

- Experience in a compliance role in a financial institution/Bank, preferably in the corporate banking environment
