About the job
This role is responsible for overseeing the EMEA Financial Accounting, including General Ledger (GL) accounting, with the support of BPO providers. Key duties include collaborating with offshored service providers for financial statement preparation, managing Accounts Receivable and Payables, performing balance sheet analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements. The role also involves managing the Record to Close process, supervising closing work, maintaining vendor relationships, and leading accounting projects and M&A activities. The individual will oversee the accounting close calendar for European subsidiaries, liaise with external auditors, and ensure compliance with IFRS standards. Additionally, they will partner with sales and operations teams for management reporting and support local statutory audits. The ideal candidate flourishes in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, embraces change, and is passionate about improving processes while promoting collaboration. Skills and experience required
A recognized degree in accounting or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including expertise in European financial accounting and controlling.
