About the team

Our Mobile Team own both our iOS and Android apps. We’re using the latest technologies like – for iOS: SwiftUI, Combine, Async/Await, and for Android: AndroidX, Coroutines, Hilt, and various Jetpack libraries.

You’ll be joining Airwallex at an exciting time as we build out features of our modern, native iOS and Android apps. These apps allows customers to manage business-to-business global payments, submit and approve expenses, and manage Airwallex virtual and physical cards with features such as Google/Apple Pay wallet integration for making card transactions.

Responsibilities

• Day to day you will contribute to the design of how our mobile apps look and feel, you’ll collaborate with your engineering colleagues to share knowledge and work out the best way of building features to ensure the apps are secure, reliable, tested and always available for our customers.
• As our mobile apps are less than two years old, you’ll have direct impact and influence on the way we scale them up over the next few years.

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience developing native mobile apps and experience with Android or iOS development and modern frameworks and practice.
• Bachelor degree or above in computer science or engineering related majors.

• Writes testable code with high test coverage, and able to maintain automation pipelines for CI/CD (eg GitHub Actions/Bitrise)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and resourceful Calypso Application Support Programmer to join our team. • Design and optimize database schemas to support BI solutions.
• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for reporting and ETL purposes.
• Perform data profiling and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with business analysts, data analysts, and other developers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance Optimization:

• Conduct performance tuning of SSRS reports, SSIS packages, and SQL queries.
• Ensure efficient and scalable BI solutions that handle growing datasets.

Leadership and Project Management

• Communicate and collaborate with architects, stakeholders, business, and project managers to gather requirements and define technical solution
• Develops detailed technical work plans, estimates, improvement plans and status reports
• Perform regular peer-reviews, maintain low technical debts, assess & up-skill junior staffs
• Take ownership and leadership of medium-size projects
• Able to mentor / guide Junior Devs or Team members on the technical and project knowledge acquired
• Prepare KPI and report to transverse project manager and management about the projects in your scope
• Contribute to initiatives managed at department level (continuous improvement, innovation…)

• Provide L3 Support on applications - analyze and resolve issues as they arise
• Maintain existing BI solutions / ETL pipelines and propose continuous improvements
• Ability to design appropriate solution and Challenge and Recommend solutions as per the business needs in compliant to the company’s standards

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of work experience in leading Microsoft BI projects, including SSRS, SSIS, and SQL Server.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including query optimization and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration using SSIS.
• Good exposure and usage experience in CI/CD tools / processes
• Expertise in designing and developing reports using SSRS.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with data warehousing principles and dimensional modelling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
