Morgan McKinley is looking for a skilled Application Lead Developer for a 12-months contract with our client in the tech industry.

Responsibilities:

• Application Development and Architecture: Design and implement application and technical architecture components, focusing on high performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design, and testing materials.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features while ensuring technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues to ensure optimal application quality and responsiveness.
• Code Quality and Automation: Maintain high code quality through organization, automation, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform development practices and architectural reviews.
• Release Management: Assist with the preparation and production of software releases, including configuration, building, and testing of application components.
• Team Leadership: Lead a small team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in coding, testing, and code reviews.
• Testing and Support: Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address issues identified during testing phases.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and end-users to refine requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with company standards, security protocols, and development methodologies.
• Continuous Improvement: Investigate new technologies and alternatives, presenting recommendations for architectural improvements.

Qualifications:

• With minimum 5 years of relevant software development and programming experience.
• Must have Experience with AS400 Technologies.
• Must have the following technical skills:
  • Proficiency in AS400 RPG and COBOL.
  • In-depth knowledge of Remittance Applications.
  • Strong expertise in ALBON, SQL, and DB2.
• Experience with AS400 Technologies.
• Familiarity with SWIFT and Local RTGS Applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable parts.

YOUR ROLE:

We are looking for a designer who is looking to join an amazing design team and seeking to grow their UX and UI skillsets within a consultancy environment. You can execute the required design activities based on the project objectives. You are capable of conducting UX research activities such as moderated user interviews, and execute UI design for development handoff. We want someone who has an understanding of the full spectrum of design and development. You should be keen to learn on the job and feel comfortable in pairing up with PMs, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute the design activities based on the project objectives and timeline.
• Familiar with user research methods such as user interviews, heuristic review, competitive analysis, and have the capability to synthesise findings to actionable insights.
• Lead and facilitate co-creation sessions with various stakeholders.
• Visualize, design and conceptualize the user experience in service blueprints, journey maps, etc.
• Present concepts and UX solutions as compelling stories to clients.

WHO YOU ARE:

Graduated with a Bachelor's degree and you have a proven relevant experience of at least 3 years. You are passionate about new technologies, digital innovations and design. You might be working in large teams or as an individual contributor, however, you have a fair understanding of Agile environments. You would be someone who is excited about taking on challenges of client projects and would be willing to initiate UX design activities in such work environments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Multimedia, Information Architecture, Human Computer Interaction, Instructional or Graphic Design, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the field of UX and UI.
• Understanding of motion design, HTML, CSS and other technical platforms.
• Knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision and/or other design tools.
• Experience designing digital experiences web and mobile platforms.
• Experience in agile development processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present your designs to clients and teams.
• Able to adapt to different industries and learn new subject matters as required of a consultant designer.
• Passionate about and experience in product strategy and design will be an added bonus.
