Functional Relationships with:

ASEAN and India Sales Team; Communicate and collaborate with Japan HQ and Oversea technical affiliate for products’ promotion, technical support / troubleshooting, and new technical feasibility collaboration, and creation.

Position Profile:
The Application Engineering Manager is responsible to support the General Manager for developing and executing engineering solution services for overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of engineering solution mid-term strategy, new market exploration and creation & business generation. He/she offers strategic leadership by articulating in depth technical feasibility knowledge and proposals (including both hardware, software and system) to develop solutions for customer and explore new market. Additionally, he is required to collaborate with various functional group in Japan HQ and other regional-HQ to synergize business creation initiatives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop Application Engineering services’ strategies & policy to support the achievement of the overall business objectives for ASEAN + India region.

• Synergize the product policy and strategy alignment with various functional group (HQ and other RMC) for targeted business segments’ opportunities creation.

• Lead application engineering activities for ASEAN region and enhance business wins though value creation and technical consulting service.

• Accelerate of immediate business opportunities.

• Technical support for connectivity module (embedded engineering)

• Product feature & demo tools development

• Conceptualize and facilitate the integration of Murata’s products (connectivity, sensor, etc) into solution and proposal for customer.

• Identify the local unique requirement & business opportunity through tech application marketing.

• Support engineering requirement (S/W, system, and H/W) into additional solution.

• Provide technical feasibility & perspective for possible Layer 3 business in ASEAN region.

• Support the product/business case development process through total Murata’s qualification and approval compliance, including all phases of evaluation, PoC, DR and QC/QA into mass production.

ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED

· Master degree in Electronic Engineering or related field preferred.

· A minimum of 15 years of working experience in regional / global embedded engineering environment & electronic industries.

· Proven records of product/system development project with connectivity’s technologies.

· Strong proficiency in embedded electronics, S/W and development platform of various micro-controller.
