Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline.

• Experience in writing requirements specifications, use cases, design documentation, and designing software using object-oriented software design and UML modelling.

Position Overview

The Software Developer is a key member of the Delivery and Support Group in NETS Solutions and will report to the Technical Delivery Manager. He/She will participate in the application delivery to customer and will be responsible for application development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the requirement elicitation and produce the required technical and operations documentation
• Work with Solution Architect/Technical Lead on the analysis and design of the code changes according to the finalized requirement specifications
• Perform code changes and test the system according to the requirements specifications
• Ensure work performed comply to coding and security standards, and corporate processes
• Perform quality assurance (QA) activities such as unit testing, system testing and code review
• Participate in the system integration testing by rendering support to the Test Team and resolve issues reported.
• Provide support to internal and external parties during the testing stages
• Provide support to customers during acceptance testing and post-cutover implementation.
• Assist in the development of training materials and conducting of presentation

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent education
• Good technical knowledge with at least 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience in Java, JEE, SQL/PLSQL, and XML. Knowledge of MySQL will be added advantage
• Experienced with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, Modular design, Angular (5 & above) or React and open source JS framework
• Experienced with RESTFul APIs, Spring 5.x, Spring Boot, Sprint Framework, Sprint Security, Cloud-Based technologies and Micro-services, including Messaging Middleware such as Kafka/IBM MQ/Solace.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

• Domain knowledge and experience in financial industry/payments systems is a plus

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in web development
• Proficient understanding of web markup including HTML5, CSS3 and or Ant Design framework
• Experience in server side CSS pre processing platforms including but not limited to LESS and SASS
• Proficient in client-side scripting and JavaScript/typescript frameworks and libraries specifically Angular and Express (NodeJS)
• Deep understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient in ORM framework and or SQL-based queries preferably in MariaDB
• Good understanding of RESTful API and able to make API in Express.
• Proficient understanding of charting library specifically D3.js and Highcharts
• Good working knowledge on Software Development Lifecycle and has experience using tools such as GIT, SVN, Jenkins, Bamboo, JIRA, etc.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology

Requirement:

• Possess good technical knowledge in J2EE/JEE.
• Experience in back-end frameworks/technologies such as Spring boot, Hibernate.
• Experience in databases such as Oracle, MS SQL.
• Experience in front-end frameworks/technologies such as AngularJS, ReactJS and Node.JS is an added advantage.
• Monitors and manages the production support to ensure incidents and problems are managed within set SLAs
• Familiar with use of DevOps and tools
• Good communication, strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills

Experience:

• Between 3 – 5 years of Application Development or Post-production support experiences.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle models (both Waterfall and Agile).
• Experience in setting up DevOps is preferred.
• Insurance domain knowledge is an advantage
