1. Responsibilities

· Analyse the Authority’s data needs and document the requirements.

2. What we are looking for

· Good understanding and completion of projects using waterfall/Agile methodology.

· Strong SQL, data modelling and data analysis skills are a must.

· Hands-on experience in DevOps deployment and data virtualisation tools like Denodo will be preferred.

· Understanding of reporting or visualization tool like SAP BO and Tableau is important.

· Track record in implementing systems using Hive, Impala and Cloudera Data Platform will be preferred.

· Hands-on experience in big data engineering jobs using Python, Pyspark, Linux, and ETL tools like Informatica.

· Strong SQL and data modelling and data analysis skills.

· Good understanding of analytics and data warehouse implementations.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource to application stack traces.

Summary:

• In this role, you will be be involved in the migration and conversion of the customized Charles River reports from the current Crystal report to SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) format to be compatible with the latest Charles River system.

Mandatory Requirements :

• Possess Crystal Report 2013 knowledge in Reporting and Sub-Reporting.
• Strong knowledge in SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Possess Charles River knowledge and experience including database schema for version of 20R1 and above.
• Experience in Charles River Reporting including configuration of reports, running of reports, permission of reports and etc.
• Experience in conversion of Crystal Report to SSRS in Charles River.
• Strong knowledge in SQL Stored Procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new custom parsers for parsing and field extraction of new log source types, including testing and finetuning
• Research, evaluate and identify the most appropriate mechanism for efficient parser development
• Modify and enhance existing parsers to adopt to log variants
• Document the newly created or modified parsers
• Work with engineering team to deploy and test the new or modified parsers
• Update development progress and issues to team lead
• Provide inputs to Delivery Managers on log format changes required to reuse existing parsers

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in log management, log onboarding to SIEM, connector development, scripting and/or data engineering
• Certified as Splunk Core Power User or higher
• Experienced in Splunk Processing Language and Regex
• Good working knowledge of cloud environment (AWS and/or Azure)
• Please note that this role will be 8 months direct contract.

• Develop and recommend new products, and refine existing prototypes to meet customer briefs and regulatory requirements
