Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator to manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure within a healthcare environment. The role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of Windows Server systems, along with supporting healthcare IT services in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate must possess in-depth technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and an ITIL certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Server Administration & Management:
Install, configure, and manage Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Perform regular maintenance activities, including patch management, system updates, and backups.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and File Services, ensuring seamless operations.
Security & Compliance:
Conduct security audits, implement security best practices, and manage server hardening.
Monitor and analyze server logs for potential security breaches or anomalies.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry security and data privacy standards.
Incident & Problem Management:
Respond to and resolve server-related incidents, service requests, and problems reported by end-users or the IT support team.
Provide root cause analysis and preventive maintenance to minimize service disruptions.
Virtualization & Network Support:
Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware for server deployment and optimization.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and support related network infrastructure components.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support healthcare IT services.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including configurations, processes, and incident records.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Certifications: ITIL Certification (Mandatory), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (Preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Windows Server Administrator in an enterprise environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022).
Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and File Services.
Experience with server virtualization (VMware).
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP) and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
