• Provide patient care in Cardiovascular Suite and to assist in the interventional cardiovascular procedures, ensuring compliance with radiology safety policies and procedures for the safety of patients and others.

Main Responsibilities

• To plan and manage the care of individual patient using the nursing process approach comprising of Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation in the Closed Monitoring Unit (CMU). On admission, all necessary pre-procedure check will be done on patient.
• To prepare patient for procedure by serving all necessary pre-medications and shaving the appropriate site and monitor the patient closely after a procedure in the CMU and notify the cardiologist/attending doctor of any abnormalities.
• To assist in procedures and prepare the various instrument trolleys required in various interventional procedures.
• To ensure safety to patient when applying principles of administration of contrast media, taking into consideration the contra-indications and history of patient.
• To respond and manage emergency situations in an efficient and calm manner, e.g. in Code Blue.
• To perform other assignments as and when required by the Nurse Manager/Clinician.

Job Requirements

• Min Degree / Diploma in Nursing
• Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing.
• Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurse.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience
• A minimum of 1 year experience in Cardiology or Radiology interventional procedures or equivalent

5 days' work week (Mondays to Fridays, no overnight shift but with extended cases, on-call and callback)

• Perform registration: key in patients’ data and register in the system.
• Patient care support, such as taking of vital signs.
• Follow up with doctors or clinic staff on completing the information required.
• Assist doctor and staff nurses during consultation and patient care.
• Cashiering and admimistrative support duties as assigned
• Experience in clinical duties such as taking of blood samples, recording vital signs reading and etc. will be an added bonus
• Administrative work, file for medisave/ insurance claims
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

• Min 3 years or more years of experience in a clinic setting.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment.
• PC Literacry skills in MS/ Excel/ Powerpoint
• Working hours: 830am to 5pm (Mondays to Fridays), 830am to 1pm (Saturdays)
• Work location will be in Central / Novena
• Singaporean preferred
• Able to speak MANDARIN to the Chinese-speaking patients
