Job Summary
The role holder is responsible for enablement, change delivery and transformation across the Wealth Solutions COO (WS COO) team. This includes working with the WS COO to define the vision, develop the roadmap as well as the execution. The focus should be on innovation, enablement, and enhancing experiences for clients whilst ensuring the Wealth Solutions COO is scaling in an efficient manner (fit for growth, FFG)
The incumbent is also required to lead the communications, and run financials and business management for WS COO, ensuring CP and BR budgets are completed covering step ups, budget transfers and headcount management.
The other element of the role is Hive management oversight for Core Wealth Platform, ensuring strategic direction and roadmap of the Hive are aligned with business and WS COO strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Management and governance of Investments approved under the QPR, SIRF and Fit for growth investment budgets. Role holder will be responsible for finding synergies of investments and in partnership with WS COO globally, work on investment roadmap that supports the overall strategy.
- Key point of contact for Fit For Growth of WS COO, including working with initiative owners and Hive leads to ensure project deliveries are effectively implemented across geographies, financials and costs incurred, benefits are appropriately managed. Also ensure risks are identified and mitigation plans are in place.
- Role holder will, in partnership with technology, define the strategic platforms and roadmap for wealth platforms in alignment with the business strategy and investment appetite.
- Financials and Business Management for WS COO globally including budgeting, financial analysis, risk and issues mitigation, and completion of CP and BR exercises covering step ups / and budget transfers and Headcount management.
- Developing a data strategy to facilitate access of data and implement a KPI for teams globally
- Lead the communications handle globally for WS COO including regular newsletters and townhalls. Ensuring critical updates, impacts and benefits are communicated out to the relevant stakeholders
Strategy
- Awareness and understanding of the WS COO Strategy, and all related business and functional strategies.
- Advise on, recommend and help facilitate significant strategic initiatives that advance the agenda and effectiveness of WS journey, in partnership with key stakeholders as appropriate
- Manage and track execution progress of approved initiatives to drive WS COO & Private Bank transformation agenda.
- Provide strategically aligned leadership and direction to cross-business/ function initiatives during early stages, on request from COO, or business/ domain/ geography leaders.
Business
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with Business, TTO, Risk & Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups.
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of operations and drives continuous improvements of the teams’ ways of working
- Facilitate collaboration and alignment within/across teams, by building alliance across senior stakeholders and deepening business / functions’ stakeholder relationships
- Ensure appropriate and insightful data and analytics that can drive business decisions.
- Assist COO to manage and control WS COO budget and expense in conjunction with the Finance
- Prepare reports, presentations, papers and review material to support discussions and decision making at various forums
Processes
- Understanding of the WRB process universe to appreciate horizontal delivery synergies
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of operations and drive standardisation agenda for WS COO, maintaining rigorous cost and investment discipline across the business.
Risk Management
- Independently identify key issues and initiate efforts to assess and drive resolution, working in collaboration with WS COO team.
- Risk control and governance: ensuring oversight and driving improvement in the control & resilience agenda.

- 10 years experience in wealth management and private banking
- Strong knowledge of wealth products
