The Research Office oversees research at the University, with a commitment to research excellence and positive societal impact. The office devises and implements research strategy whilst addressing Singapore’s national priorities. We also develop research-related policies and coordinate research-related operations at the university level. • Oversee risk and governance of university-level research centres. Review resercarch agreements involving overseas collaboration partners to establish if further risk assessment is required; and to see through risk assessment and the development of mitigation measures.
• Provide support to research strategies and initiatives including gathering, mapping, and analysing research expertise, proposals, meeting briefs / minutes, supporting research collaborations, coordinating review, and coordinating visits / workshops.
• Work synergistically with stakeholders to coordinate the formulation and development of policy and procedural papers in relation to the implementation of new initiatives and/or revision of existing policies/guidelines that guide research activity across the University.
• Enable oversight of Research Office on university-level research centres, establishing a coordinated and integrated process among the various departments such as Human Resource, Finance and IT in harmonizing the list of research institutes between regulation and systems.
• Facilitate the process of opening new university-level research centers and/or close research centre.
• Using analytics to review the performance of research centres and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with Finance to review budget submissions.
• Part of the working committee to review new space requests, renewals, and keep an oversight of newly big-funded projects requiring space.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• A minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably Ph.D. degree with R&D background in a field relevant to organization’s focus area.
• Additional certifications in Leadership, Project Management, or related areas could be advantageous.
• At least 5-10 years of experience in a leadership or management role within a research, academic, or similar setting, demonstrating a track record of strategic planning and successful project delivery.

Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. Details:
- Assist in shortlisting and recommending suitable tutor profiles to parents
- Coordinate & arrange 1st tuition lesson between client and tutors
- Assist with day-to-day Admin and Operations of company
- 4 Weekdays, 1 Weekend OR 3 Weekdays, 2 Weekends, 9.00AM to 6.30PM
- Able to commit for minimum 1 year
- $2,700-$4,300/Month (Inclusive of Regular Team Incentives)
- Base from $2,500-$3,500/Month & Monthly Incentives ($200-$800/Month)
- Management positions start from $4,000/Month base salary (for candidates identified with leadership potential)
- Clear Salary Progression & Annual Salary Review (Min 5-10%)
