We are hiring a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to be based at our Singapore office. This role will provide technical support in mechanical engineering; working with the Building Services Lead in managing project inputs and deliverables, and project management. Main duties:
- Work closely with the Building Services Lead the candidate should be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
- Perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications etc.) for, building M&E infrastructure, particularly in Healthcare and/or Data Center projects.
- Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications, and drawings from client briefs.
- Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans/specifications are maintained across the project and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure consistency across the project.
- Involvement in proposals and bids.
- Engage with drafting and design staff to fulfill deliverables.
- Lead and attend project/site meetings with Clients, PM, and Consultants from other disciplines.
- Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
- Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems, and tools to meet specific project requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines.
- Cultivate relationships with clients, generally as a Doer/Seller role.
- Write technical reports and specifications including functional descriptions for M&E systems.
- Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.
To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by PEB Singapore. Pursuance of registration as a Professional Engineer will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in HVAC design. Experience in healthcare and/or Data Center projects will be an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in performing engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, computer simulations, specifications, etc.) for building M&E infrastructure projects.
- Experience in BIM and 3D models.
