Key Responsibilities

1. Storage Management

• Install, Configure, and Maintain: Implement Storage Area Networks (SAN) and enterprise backup solutions.
• Health Checks & Troubleshooting: Perform regular health checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting for HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi devices to ensure optimal availability and performance.

3. Disaster Recovery (DR)

4. Storage Solution Implementation

• Customer Collaboration: Work with customers to integrate HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi Storage solutions into their infrastructure.
• Testing & Validation: Prepare test plans and conduct functional checks to validate that storage systems meet customer requirements.

5. Additional Duties

DC Environment Support

Shall monitor the facilities infrastructure in the DC to ensure that they are within the operating levels

defined by the Customers. The infrastructure to be monitored shall minimally include:

(a) Power infrastructure (such as Uninterrupted Power Supply and power distribution boards);

(b) Cooling Infrastructure (such as computer room air-conditioning units);

(c) Fire detection and suppression systems (such as FM200, water sprinklers, fire extinguishers);

(f) Shall ensure the DC infrastructure is monitored on twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days

issues detected in accordance to the support hours as required by the Customer.

DC Facilities Management Services

(a) Shall ensure, through daily inspection, that the general cleanliness and tidiness of the data centre

are maintained by the Customer-appointed Supplier.

(b) Shall work with Customer-appointed Supplier on site preparation tasks such as network cabling

and electrical wiring, when required.

(c) Shall ensure the network cabling in the data centre and within the racks are neat and tidy.

(d) Shall work with the Customer-appointed Supplier for both scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance,

servicing, repair and upgrading works to the infrastructure at the Customer’s premises and

premises identified by the Customer.

(e) Shall plan and coordinate the maintenance activities. This includes polling the affected parties,

obtaining the Customer’s approval, and sending out messages to inform the affected party.

(f) Shall obtain the Customer’s approval before finalizing the plan for any activity.

(g) Shall provide on-site support during the maintenance activities unless otherwise agreed by the

Customer.

(h) Shall maintain up-to-date documentation of the data centre design layouts.

(i) Shall manage the physical security of the data centre in accordance with the guidelines provided

by the Customer.

(j) Shall monitor the following physical security infrastructure to ensure they are within the

operating levels defined by the Customer:

 Security Alarm and Security Card Access System; and

 Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).

(k) Shall ensure that only authorised personnel are allowed to access the DCs.

 The Vendor shall ensure that all visitors to DCs are escorted during their activities on-site.

• Design and implement administrative procedures and policies by monitoring relevant office expenditure.
• Maintain and update office environment and supplies.
• Verify accuracy of supplier invoices and their payment in accordance to agreed terms.
• Review, negotiate and maintain necessary vendor contracts for office maintenance.
• Establish mobile phone issuance procedure, records and inventory.
• Plan and implement office layouts, and equipment procurement including organising and coordinating with vendors/contractors on major office repairs, renovation and maintenance.
• Managing and maintaining records on office/building lease agreement.
• Maintain office entry system for the Singapore office and prepare evacuation plan when necessary.
• Manage Corporate Travel Agent(s) and administer Business Travel Policy for shore-based employees
• Manage the administrative team and provide supervision in their performance.
• Conduct internal audits for shore-based functions and processes

Team Management

• Plan staffing levels and work with Heads of Departments to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ the right people within budgetary guidelines. Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
• Consciously create an engaging workplace culture that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization. Lead employees using a performance management and development process including goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
• Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility, drive accountability and provide regular feedback for continuous improvement.

People Management

• Actively champion professional and transparent communication and behaviour consistent with the Tidewater Values.
• Ensure effective resourcing is achieved in time and on budget and ensure the management of employees tasks and time is balanced and appropriate.
• Set the goals and manage the performance of team and individuals inline with department performance targets through the performance management process.
• Engage employees through coaching, mentoring, two-way communication and use of career and development tools and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / LICENSES

Education or equivalent experience:

• Strong practical experience in HR process and ability to translate business needs to solutions
• Resourceful and self-driven with a high degree of professional integrity
• Meticulous and demonstrable experience with HR metrics
• Good general knowledge of labour legislations and HR best practices
• Proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Degree in a related discipline, HR preferred.
• At least 3 years of management experience or business partnering within the shipping industry is preferred
• Excellent project management and collaboration skills
