• Responsible for co-ordination of all technical activities on assigned project and assist in ensuring successful completion and execution of the assigned projects.

• Assist in planning, scheduling and coordination of works and ensure proper deliverables and full compliance to the approved standards.

• Report to the Project Manager on any site issues hindering the work progress. Highlight those changes that might result in omission or variation cost.

Requirements

• Nitec in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

You will be a key member of the R&D Digital Translation team established under the Singapore Maritime Institute. The R&D Digital Translation team develops and operates digital and cyber products and translates R&D projects to real world implementations for the maritime industry.

You will be involved in the requirements gathering, development and testing of products as per evolving business needs as part of the end-to-end agile development lifecycle starting from UI/ UX Design to Cloud Engineering & Operations, Software Development, DevSecOps, Quality Assurance and Application Security.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate in the requirements gathering sessions and contribute to the development of the functional/design specifications

2. Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems

3. Develop clean, efficient and extendable codes using HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java, .NET, React Native and other relevant programming languages.

4. Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software

5. Perform code reviews and functional testing to ensure that standards are upheld.

6. Continuous review and refactoring code for reusability and reduce technical debt.

7. Work with QA Engineer to prepare test cases as well as entry and exit criteria for SIT and UAT to ensure that user requirements are met as described per product backlog

8. Work with Application Security Engineer to perform System Security Acceptance Test (SSAT), which includes Secure Code Review (SCR), Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Penetration Test (PT) and remediate the security findings before seeking clearance and approval from CISO and CIO respectively

9. Maintain and update library of reusable APIs, components and modules

10. Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects

Requirements

1. Background in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.

2. Highly proficient in programming languages such as HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java, AngularJS, Bootstrap or other relevant programming languages

JOB SCOPE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design for single line diagram, electrical distribution system, small power, street lighting, compound lighting, ELV etc
• Determine the cable sizing & design routing for sub-main cabling and conduit/trunking wiring.
• Selection for cable, circuit breaker, transformers, UPS, VFD, generator.
• Supervise electrical Installation, testing and commissioning.
• Preparation of project documents including technical proposal, load list, cable schedule, cable routing, switch-room layout, load flow, etc.
• Prepare the BQ for the RFQ.
• Fault and short circuit study, harmonic analysis.
• Preparing specifications and datasheet for RFQ and review offers from vendors for compliance to technical specification, compliance with codes and regulation.
• Prepare documentation for submission and supporting project team on plant start-up, performance test, and optimization.
• Perform the cable sizing calculation and the voltage drop calculation.
• Supervise electrical Installation, testing and commissioning

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic engineering.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in process plants or in the water/wastewater industry, with good knowledge in electrical desgin of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks.

To assist Design for Safety Professional to carry out following duties:

• Recognise the importance of design for safety and health of a construction project to eliminate or mitigate such risks throughout the different life cycle of a building and structure
• Recognise, and advise stakeholders on, the duties and responsibilities of DfS Professionals in accordance with relevant legal requirements and WSH (DfS) Regulations
• Prepare for DfS review meetings in accordance with WSH (DfS) regulations
• Coordinate DfS review meetings for consideration of safety and health risks during different phases in the lifecycle of a building and structure
• Apply hazard identification tools and risk assessment for DfS review meetings in accordance with organisational procedures
• Establish types of safety and health records to be kept in the DfS Register in accordance with WSH(DfS) regulations
• Coordinate the flow of relevant information to stakeholders throughout the construction project
• Familiar with Design for Safety Guidelines of MOM
• Able to work with consultant team to carry out Design for Safety Review Meetings / Workshops in accordance to GUIDE 1, GUIDE 2 and GUIDE 3 according to MOM regulations
• Prepare and Maintain Design Risk Registers
• Prepare Design Risk Register documentation and handed over to relevant parties
